Co-Founder & Lead Travel Advisor, Travel With a Smile LLC with my business partner Akeisha Gallman and I our the founder and lead travel advisors of Travel With a Smile LLC, a woman-owned and minority-owned travel business based in Hampton, Virginia. Established in November 2022, Travel With a Smile was created with a clear mission: to make travel affordable, attainable, and meaningful for individuals and communities who believe travel is out of reach.

I entered the travel industry with purpose, recognizing that many people desire to travel but are held back by financial misconceptions, lack of education, fear of the unknown, health concerns, or the belief that travel is “not for people like them.” Through Travel With a Smile, I like to challenge these barriers by providing education, personalized planning, and curated travel experiences that build confidence, cultural awareness, and lifelong memories.

At the core of my work is the belief that travel is not a luxury, but an essential tool for wellness, personal growth, and global understanding. My services go far beyond booking trips. I specializes in destination celebrations and curated travel experiences, including milestone events such as promotions, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, and new beginnings. I enjoy planning group and family vacations, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, Caribbean and international travel, cultural and historical experiences, foodie tours, and adventure travel such as skydiving, paragliding, and hot air balloon rides.

What sets me apart is being intentional, relationship-driven approach. I take time to understand all my clients’ personalities, comfort levels, and financial realities, ensuring each itinerary aligns with the traveler’s needs and goals. For group travel, I carefully curates experiences based on group dynamics, creating trips that feel inclusive, personalized, and transformational rather than one-size-fits-all.

I am also deeply committed to accessible and inclusive travel because my husband battles with ERSD stage 5 Kidney disease. I assist individuals with medical needs, including travelers on dialysis, coordinating logistics to ensure health considerations are met without limiting the joy of exploration. Additionally, I educate clients on passport readiness, budgeting, and travel planning—often guiding first-time travelers step-by-step through the process.

Since launching Travel With a Smile LLC, There has been a steady organic growth, serving approximately five to six group trips annually with groups ranging from 10 to 50 travelers, along with numerous individual clients—many of whom are repeat travelers. A significant portion of my business comes through word-of-mouth referrals, reflecting trust, satisfaction, and meaningful impact.

My long-term vision is to continue expanding Travel With a Smile LLC as a company that not only books trips, but changes how people experience the world and themselves through travel. I lead with empathy, professionalism, and purpose, believing that every journey has the power to inspire, heal, and transform.
