Hi, I’m Lara McClendon, a luxury travel advisor with Marvelous Mouse Travels. I specialize in designing elevated travel experiences that feel seamless, indulgent, and unforgettable—while always focusing on delivering exceptional value for my clients.

My philosophy is simple: “Maybe it’s expensive. Maybe it just feels expensive.” Luxury travel isn’t always about spending the most—it’s about creating experiences that feel extraordinary. Whether that means a perfectly located boutique hotel in Europe, a suite on a beautiful cruise ship, or an all-inclusive resort where every detail is handled, I help my clients find the destinations and experiences that deliver the most enjoyment for their investment.

Before becoming a travel advisor, I spent over two decades planning events and coordinating complex experiences, along with building a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). That background shaped the way I approach travel planning today—combining meticulous organization, strong attention to detail, and careful value analysis to ensure every trip runs smoothly from start to finish.

While I’ve been a professional travel advisor for just a few years, my business has grown quickly thanks to my dedication to expertise and client service. In my second year, I sold over $435,000 in travel, tripling my first year’s sales. By my third year, my business had grown to nearly $1,000,000 in annual travel sales, a milestone that reflects the trust my clients place in me to plan their most important vacations.

One of the most valuable aspects of working with me is that I personally experience the destinations and products I recommend. I travel frequently on ocean cruises, European river cruises, and to luxury all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, allowing me to evaluate ships, cabins, resorts, and destinations firsthand.

From sailing on brand-new ships before they officially launch to touring resorts across the Caribbean, I prioritize experiencing travel the way my clients will. This firsthand knowledge allows me to guide travelers toward the cruise lines, resorts, and itineraries that best match their style—whether they’re seeking a romantic adults-only escape, a luxurious European river cruise, or a memorable multi-destination adventure.

Beyond planning travel, I’m also actively involved in the travel industry. I serve on the Marvelous Mouse Travels Social Media Team, where I help create educational and inspirational travel content. I’m also part of a specialized All-Inclusive Vacation Leads team, where I collaborate with other advisors and travel partners to stay up-to-date on the newest resorts, cruise itineraries, and industry trends.

My clients appreciate having a trusted travel advisor who not only understands destinations but also advocates for them throughout the entire travel process. I monitor promotions, apply new offers when possible, and serve as their direct point of contact before, during, and after travel—so they never have to navigate a call center or figure things out on their own.
