About Me

Exploring Ketchikan with my Mom.
Exploring Ketchikan with my Mom.

In Fall 2024 I sailed Princess Cruises to Alaska. I had completed my (certification name) and was offered an educational cruise. It was a great opportunity to experience the product firsthand. We sailed roundtrip from Seattle, WA which is a typical Alaska cruise itinerary. Princess Cruises is the leader in Alaska cruises featuring 18 ships, 40 itineraries and their own lodges near Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park and Fairbanks. They are the gold standard when it comes to Alaska cruising.Princess Cruises does several things well. From offering special Alaska themed foods to multiple learning opportunities, Princess really is the Alaska leader for a reason!

We really enjoyed the ports that we visited. Below is a quick recap of each one.

Ketchikan: This is a great port for shopping. There are tons of unique shops you can check out. I recommend taking the short walk to Creek Street for some shopping. You can find some one of a kind totem poles, Alaska exclusive snacks and sodas as well as learn more about the history of Creek Street. We tried Alaska Crepe Co which offered many sweet and savory crepes. One of the best crepes I’ve ever had!

Juneau: We did the Gold Belt Tram Excursion that took us 1800 ft to the top of a mountain. They had a restaurant, coffee shop, gift shop and lookout viewing area. One of the most memorable parts of my vacation is having an amazing vantage point. We also checked out the Red Dog Saloon which was a fun, adults only, old-west themed bar. You can try local beers and sodas as well as try some of their delicious appetizers.

Skagway: One of the most popular excursions to do in Skagway is the  White Pass & Yukon Route Train excursion. This excursion is popular for a reason. We were able to listen to narration that talked about the historic Gold Rush while also seeing stunning views of mountains and valleys. You can’t see views like that anywhere else.

Overall, Princess Cruises is great for multi-generational families that want an immersive Alaska experience.

She was able to help navigate all the nuances of planning and was so incredibly organized. You can tell she is passionate about Disney and making your trip memorable. She followed up after our trip and was genuine in wanting to hear all about it. Alaska - Land and Cruise (in that order) Sept 3-16, 2026
Reviewed By ToddandKatieM - Waukesha, WI | Traveled to Alaska | USA
When we first called your office in the fall of 2025, we only had an idea of traveling to Alaska - no firm details in our minds. Only that we wanted to go.// Sarah picked up the phone, and was helpful from Day 1. I think that because she had traveled there herself, she could speak very clearly into both the land and cruise portions of the trip, and what the highlights of each could be. We decided to do the land first and cruise last - for relaxation purposes. Our excursions were wonderful and everything ran on time. Sarah had given us helpful details and advice of how to structure our time along each stop. // Our Denali day trip in the park was fantastic. This has nothing to do with Sarah, but we certainly were excited when our group got to witness lots of wildlife there - caribou/reindeer, moose and its baby, a grizzly bear, sheep on the hillsides, magpies, eagles, and a distant (but clear) shot of Mt McKinlay. // This is nobody's fault, but members of our group began getting sick, including me. Some sort of respiratory thing. I'm afraid it put a damper on our vacation time, as you can imagine. // The cruise ship was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed how much entertainment they provided. Lots of music as well as trivia contests. The food was good and plentiful, and staff were friendly and helpful. They even provided a special dessert one night for my husband's and my 45th wedding anniversary. // One criticism of the ship itself is that when they make announcements, the announcers can be very difficult to understand. // So, a big thank you goes out to Sarah and her planning. Each detail was much appreciated as our group wasn't exactly tech-savvy and she answered all of our questions. As a side note, how in the world would anyone take a trip these days without a phone, an app, etc? That's a bit frustrating to some of us 65-plus folks. Anyway... We would not hesitate to use your services again. Thank you. KM

Family Cruise
Reviewed By Brian - Jefferson, WI | Traveled to Greece | Europe
Sarah was our agent whom I worked with. She was extremely helpful in helping select the best cruise vacation our family was looking for. She helped with all the transports from the airports to hotels and to the Port of departure. She helped us book flights with the air travel group and made awesome recommendations for our flex days before and after the cruise. The detailed travel package/app access had all the minor details lated out for easy of use. We will definitely use her for future travel. Thanks for making our trip awesome!
