Colombia left an incredible impression on me. Each region offers something truly unique, making it a destination that has something for every traveler.

The capital city of Bogota is full of culture and history, with must-see highlights like the renowned Gold Museum and the Montserrate lookout, which offers sweeping views of Bogotá from above. I also had the chance to hike the Moorlands just outside the city which is a breathtaking experience surrounded by high-altitude landscapes and fresh mountain air. I also explored the famous underground Salt Cathedral, a wonder that combines natural beauty with architectural genius.

Medellín (pronounced "Meta-Jean"),completely surprised me. Once known for its complicated past, today it’s a thriving, innovative city filled with fabulous neighborhoods, each with its own energy and personality. One of the most inspiring experiences was seeing the beautifully colored murals that decorate the walls of Comuna 13, telling powerful stories of resilience, creativity, and transformation. The city’s art, culture, and innovation make it a truly dynamic place to explore.

Cartagena felt like stepping into an entirely different world. With its vibrant colors, colonial architecture, and strong Caribbean influence, the city has a charm all its own. Walking the cobblestone streets of the walled city and soaking in the coastal breeze was an unforgettable highlight.

Of course, the food across Colombia is simply magnificent. From fresh arepas to inventive modern cuisine, every meal was a delight. And then there’s the coffee! No trip would be complete without visiting the coffee region of Pereira. Learning firsthand about Colombia’s most famous product, from bean to cup, was not only educational but deeply inspiring.

Colombia is a country that surprises, delights, and stays with you long after you leave. It’s a place I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced, and one I know travelers will fall in love with too. What makes it even more special is the value it offers.
