Between the serene canal tours and exploring the architectural wonders of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, the group was instantly enchanted. A highlight was our excursion to the Island of Burano, where we watched master artisans transform molten glass into delicate works of art—a vibrant demonstration of Italian craftsmanship that left us all in awe.

The Adriatic Gems: Croatia & Montenegro~We boarded our Celebrity ship and set sail for the rugged beauty of the Dalmatian Coast. With stops in Split, Zadar, and Dubrovnik, we walked through centuries of history etched into white limestone.However, the showstopper was Kotor, Montenegro. Navigating the bay into one of the world’s most beautiful ports is an experience that stays with you. I curated a private tour to Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made island steeped in local legend, sitting peacefully in the middle of the shimmering blue bay.

Sicily: Cinema & Volcanic Wonder~In Messina, we went "off-script" with a private tour to Savoca, the iconic hilltop village where The Godfather was filmed. Walking into the very church where Michael married Apollonia felt like stepping onto a movie set. Our journey continued to Taormina, offering staggering views of Mount Etna. We were treated to a rare, spectacular sight: glowing lava spilling from the peak. In a true display of nature’s power, the volcano erupted the very next day!

Tuscany & Florence: The Masterpieces~No trip to Italy is complete without the Renaissance magic of Florence. The Duomo is a structure so magnificent that pictures simply cannot capture its scale or detail. We stood in silence before Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery—a "must-see" that truly takes your breath away. We rounded out our Tuscan experience with visits to the leaning tower of Pisa, the medieval walls of Lucca, and the tower-filled skyline of San Gimignano.

Rome: The Eternal Finale~We concluded our journey with a post-cruise stay in Rome. In the Vatican City, the world’s smallest country, we shared a private tour of the Vatican Museums. Seeing the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s Pieta in person was a spiritual highlight for the entire group.To cap off the trip, we ditched the tour bus for a private sunset golf cart tour. In just four hours, we zipped through the city, tossing coins in the Trevi Fountain, climbing the Spanish Steps, and marveling at the Pantheon. It was the perfect, breezy way to see the best of Rome as the city began to glow.
