Being a travel consultant is about building trust and a mutually respectful relationship with people.  Listening, exploring, suggesting, nothing about my job is about order taking.

For more than 30 years I have travelled the world to educate myself on destinations, culturally interesting accommodations, and experiences.  Sharing my knowledge with my clients and my team. All my travels have given me an understanding of, even though we see the world becoming smaller and seemingly more generic, we are in fact all different as people and each country as diverse as their people.  Finding those intricacies in a destination and helping you explore and discover for yourself is what drives me in my profession.  

People always ask "what is your favourite trip?" My most memorable destinations have been Peru and hiking the Inca Trail, Safari in Kenya, Botswana and Zimbabwe, sailing on a tall sail ship on the Mediterranean, expedition boat through the Strait of Magellan in South America, the Rocky Mountaineer train through the majestic Canadian Rockies and leisurely floating through France on a canal barge. Every one of those is so different in style, I found myself enlighten or challenged and always immersed in each experience.  Not one place the same, and even to return to the same place is never the same, as we change, so does the destination.

Luxury Experiential Travel is what I specialize in and that doesn't always mean 5 star.  Having an exclusive experience, access to an event, entrance to something that isn't open to everyone can be luxury.  My affiliation with Travel Leaders Luxury Alliance and more than 15 years and as a Traveller Made Travel Designer Agency member allows me access to special accommodations and experiences outside of the "normal agency offerings" often with added amenities and pricing so that I may pass them on to my clients for added value.  

Refined Journeys in addition to curating personalized individual itineraries, hosts tailored small group travel experiences. Travel experiences are designed by our highly educated and well-travelled consultants.  

In 2022 I personally hosted a small group on the Douro River in Portugal, travelled to Barcelona and Madrid, spent a week in a beautiful house in Southern Ireland then hosted a small group and explored the rest of the island on a boutique ship.
