Girl Scout Trips

In 2002 I became a Girl Scout troop leader. The opportunities I found for girls to experience new adventures were amazing. We started with small activities like backyard camping, but as the girls progressed and grew older we were able to take trips. Our first big trip was to San Francisco for the Golden Gate Bridging event as girls bridged from Junior Girl Scouts to Cadettes. Our troop also did a couple of road trips including one along the California Coast and one to the Grand Canyon. Because the girls loved to cruise we sailed on Baja California cruises and a cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

Throughout the years I have worked with other troop leaders to build their troop trips. Some examples are trips to Hawaii, California road trips, Paris, London and Dublin. Reserving trips for ten or more travelers is quite different than putting together a family vacation, but I thrive when working with groups.

Girl Scouts have a special place in my heart. Although councils across the states have varying requirements, I understand how the funds work and that rooming requirements need to be adhered to.

In addition to the individual troop trips, I have relationships with a couple different councils and have been helping them to put together amazing reward trips for the top sellers in their areas. Over the years we have sent groups of up to 40 travelers on cruises and land expeditions on several different continents. I bring in experts on the areas to develop great itineraries. Some examples have been Greece, Rome, Shanghai, Tokyo, Montreal and Quebec, Dubai and the Maldives, Belize, Fiji and Australia. Domestically, these incentive trips have visited Monterey, California, Orlando, Florida, Anchorage, Alaska and New York City.
