Our first "real" vacation was in 2018 to Galveston, TX. Beautiful destination with great beaches and dolphin watching and food! We were right across the road from a beach, so every morning getting to watch the sunrise over the water was just breathtaking. Between then, we took quite a few trips to Branson, MO. Which is the destination for Midwest folk. Silver Dollar City and White Water were our go-to's. We really didn't look too much further into venturing out. Growing up, our families never took vacations bigger than that. Even going to Galveston seemed big to a lot of people. In April of 2022, my mother-in-law decided it was time to take her kids on a real vacation. We all decided on Walt Disney World Florida. Being the planners my husband and myself are, we took the first step into planning, and planned it down to the ride reservations. Nine people ended up on that trip, inclluding six adults and three kids under nine years old. We had a blast, but we felt like we missed so much!My husband and myself decided we needed to take our own little trip. So the three of us took off not even a year later. We got to ride every ride in three of the parks at least twice! Some even four times, maybe more! We still missed out on a lot it seemed like. My husband and I then decided to do an adult only trip soon after.If we aren't at church or work, we are planning our next getaway!
