A few years ago, my husband and I spent two weeks in Morocco with a local private driver who changed the way I think about travel forever. He took us to his family's home for a meal we still talk about, introduced us to locals in villages that appear in no guidebook, and led us down medina alleyways that opened into courtyards so beautiful I had to stop and just breathe. That trip was not a vacation. It was an experience. And it is the reason I built Galia Travel.

Growing up in England means Europe is not just my specialty. It is personal. I know London the way a local knows it, including the parts that never make the tourist trail. There is a tiny riverside stretch around Wapping Stairs that I have been sending friends to for years. You drift down toward the water as the light goes soft,  and the old warehouses and moored boats remind you that this city has been here for a thousand years and is in no hurry to explain itself to anyone. That is the real London. And finding that version of a place, for every destination I work with, is at the heart of everything I do.

That same intimacy carries through my work across Europe and into Southeast Asia. From a family-owned Tuscan vineyard where someone's grandmother still has opinions about the harvest, to a private dawn visit to Angkor Wat before a single tour bus arrives, I design journeys that feel lived-in rather than looked-at. Beyond these two regions, my work spans luxury cruises, bespoke African safaris, and privately guided cultural tours across the world's most compelling destinations.

Through Galia Travel I work with an exclusive network of the world's finest hotels, boutique lodges and cruise lines, securing VIP access and experiences simply unavailable to the general public. But what my clients tell me they value most is not the upgrades. It is that I found things for them they never would have found alone. A family-run restaurant in Lyon with no website and no reviews. A private textile workshop in Kyoto where three generations have been weaving the same patterns for over a century. Finding those things, for each specific person, is what I am here for.

I also love to write about travel, for my blog, social media and for a local print publication, because I believe a place deserves more than a photograph. I am always looking for the exact words that capture how somewhere actually feels, and that same instinct drives every journey I design.

Every itinerary begins with a real conversation about who you are, how you like to feel when you travel, and what you have always wanted but have not yet given yourself permission to do. From there I take care of everything.
