As a child, Mom and Dad took me to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida every year. While these vacations weren’t extravagant, they left an indelible impact on my perspective of how exciting it is to pack up and go somewhere. As I got older and Mom became a leader in the Education Association, Dad and I would tag along to explore whatever new city she was in. Since Mom was busy in meetings, Dad and I would get up in the mornings and just explore. Exploration, adventure, good food, being exceptionally tired and energized at the same time are memories I will cherish forever. 

As an adult, I have tried to instill that wanderlust attitude in my own children, so that means travel is a priority for us! I love every single thing about leaving my house, bags packed, plans made with just the anticipation of adventure and fun lying ahead.
