About Me

Cruising looks simple from the outside: pick a ship, pick a cabin, show up. I've sailed enough of these trips myself, and planned enough for clients, to know that the ships people love and the ships people regret often look identical on a brochure page. The difference is almost always in the details nobody thinks to ask about until they're already on board.I've personally sailed Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian, and I book cruises across nearly every major line, including Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Cunard, MSC, AmaWaterways, and Avalon. That range matters because no two cruise lines feel the same once you're actually on the water. A ship that's perfect for a family with young kids can feel completely wrong for a couple looking for a quiet, adults-focused sailing, and a river cruise through Europe has almost nothing in common with a big-ship Caribbean itinerary. I've experienced enough of these differences firsthand to know which one actually fits the trip a client is picturing, not just the one with the best price. One thing I tell every client, and I'll say it here too: the cheapest cabin is rarely the best deal. Location on the ship matters more than people expect. A rock-bottom fare next to the elevator bank, above the nightclub, or on a deck that rolls more in rough seas can turn a relaxing week into a frustrating one. I walk clients through cabin placement the same way I'd want someone to walk me through it, because the fare is only part of what you're actually paying for.The same goes for excursions. Booking through whoever has the lowest price sounds smart until a tour runs late and the ship doesn't wait. I look at reliability, timing, and how well an excursion is coordinated with the ship's schedule, not just the sticker price, because getting left at a port is a much bigger problem than saving 20 dollars on a shore excursion. Most of my cruise clients fall into one of two groups. Some are repeat cruisers who sail every few months and already know what they like, they just want someone who can find the right ship, the right itinerary, and the right price without them having to do the legwork. Others are families planning something bigger, often multi-generational, where everyone on board wants something different out of the same week. For those trips, I start by asking each family member individually what they're actually interested in, not just what the group as a whole should do. A cruise works when the teenager gets their water slides, the grandparents get their quiet mornings, and the parents actually get a vacation too.I'm a Destination Specialist at Kingdom and Cruise Travel and a CLIA member, but the instincts I bring to cruise planning come just as much from my other career as a full-time nurse practitioner. That background makes me naturally calm under pressure and genuinely good at listening, which matters more on a cruise than people realize. Plans change at sea. Weather shifts, ports get skipped, a shore excursion gets cancelled. I want clients to feel like they still have complete control of their trip even when something outside anyone's control changes, because that's usually exactly how it goes.If you've cruised a dozen times or you're picturing your first one and have no idea where to even start, that's exactly the kind of planning I love handling. I believe the best trips are the ones where you can slow down, be present, and enjoy the people you're with, and on a cruise, that starts long before you ever step on the ship.
