Puerto Vallarta - Our Home Away From Home

The first time we visited Puerto Vallarta was in 2016 for a friend's wedding. We immediately fell in love with the city. There was so much to do, the city was beautiful, the people were so nice, the food was amazing, and it was so incredibly affordable.

The friends that were getting married owned a condo there, and decided to list it for sale to buy something else several months after the wedding. We started to look into buying a place, and after some time, invested in a condo that was still in the pre construction phase. In 2018, our unit was completed and ready to decorate. We love what we have created. Over the years, we have been there many times.

We continue to explore excursions, hotels in the area, resorts, new restaurants and bars that continue to open, and the multitude of entertainment options. 

The Zona Romantica is a great place to stay. It's a perfect blend of being on vacation but still feeling like you're in the heart of the city. It's easily accessible by Uber or taxi so if an all inclusive is more your vibe, they have several beautiful options you could stay at while taking a day or night to explore the old town. Cruise ships often stop in Puerto Vallarta, so that's another great way to see some of what the city has to offer.

I cannot recommend Vallarta enough! It's a great stop for families, friends, singles, queer or straight. There's truly something for everyone.
