About Me

It is a great joy for me to create unique, customized travel experiences.  I am passionate about travel and I truly love seeing the world!!   I have traveled to all continents and my life travel goal is to travel to all countries.  I am privileged to travel 6 to 8 times a year, which enables me to pass on my travel knowledge and experience to create life changing adventures.

I have worked in the travel industry for 36 years coming from the airlines industry, Piedmont Airlines.  I have been a Certified Travel Counselor since 1986, when we opened the doors of Brandywine Travel Agency.  I have worked hard to make sure our business is IATAN, ARC, CLIA certified and accredited, and we are proud to be a member of the Better Business Bureau.

The Travel Industry is always changing and I make a great effort to stay current. I have invested much time and resources into educating myself about travel.  I hold various certifications including:

  • Certified Destination Specialist through the Travel Institute for both Europe and the South Pacific
  • Certified Travel Specialist for Ireland, Wales, Switzerland, Austria and Germany, as well as Tahiti, New Zealand, and Australia
  • Accredited Cruise Counselor with CLIA

It is a pleasure for me to continually learn about all the wonders of travel and to pass that knowledge onto those that I create travel experiences for.  I have developed strong relationships with numerous suppliers and have access to unlimited possibilities in the travel industry.   I have built  trust with my clients, and feel honored to have a wonderful history of repeat customers.

Second honeymoon

We started booking with Joanne in 2000 for our honeymoon. 15 years later and many trips in between with her, we booked our 15 year anniversary trip to Jamaica, in December 2014, went on the trip October 2015. Joanne kept in touch with us throughout the months and in between. Either Joanne and Kim got back to us with answers on any additions or questions we had. Joanne suggested going thru Club Mobay in Jamaica, that was the best thing we did. We booked our trip for early departure which meant we had to get up really early on our end and it was so worth it. We got to the resort early enough to enjoy 1/2 a day of daylight. When we landed, we were greeted by Club Mobay, went thru customs and were at our resort in 45 minutes. Still had 6 hours of daylight left. We had a great time. Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Joanne and Kim for a trip to remember and a second honeymoon.

Positive experience...until on trip

Very helpful and knowledgeable during the planning process of the trip. Unfortunately, when the trip went awry with delays and the destination country not having some of our itenrary correct upon arrival, JoAnne could have been more proactive and helpful. I ended up calling the local travel company in our destination to take care of the problems because I wasn't getting the answers and assistance needed on our first international trip. Enjoyed the trip, but became uncertain when not receiving the reliability I was expecting. Perhaps the cards just lined against us for certain things but it was disappointing.
