Gretchen did a fantastic job recommending two locations for our week-long trip to Costa Rica! She took care of all of the lodging, various excursions - horseback riding, scuba diving, zip-lining and white water rafting. While on our trip I even messaged her asking for advice about booking a last minute cacao plantation tour and she responded within hours and made a fantastic recommendation for a tour that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. My friend, a Costa Rica native, even joined us for the white water rafting excursion Gretchen booked and she had so much fun that she wants to take her family when they come visit. The Bavarian countryside and towns were amazingly beautiful. Crailsheim, Swabisch Hall, Dinklesbuhl, Vellberg, Rothenberg. Must sees, as were Garmisch, the Zugspitz and the Linderhof palace. A highlight of the trip was the Volksfest in Crailsheim, at the start of Octoberfest. We could not have asked for a better planned trip to Switzerland! I usually do my own thing because past agents didn't do much of anything. Look at AAA and the travel agent they use, they never contacted me. If you hadn't tried to coordinate their air with your cruise you found my confirmation number was no longer valid and my flights changed. They never contacted me. I would have been in a mess if it wasn't for discovering this. I didn't realize you do the airport, hotel and cruise. Next time I know what you do which is everything. Gretchen once again assisted us in organizing the perfect trip. Because the Rockies are so extensive and cover hundreds of miles, we opted for a tour which included an overnight train-Definitely a once in a lifetime experience! The tour, which went to Vancouver, Jasper National Park, Lake Louise and Banff, used the Fairmont hotel chain, and all rooms and meals there were top-notch. We never would have been able to see and do everything we did without Gretchen’s help.

Gretchen set us up perfectly for an epic family trip with two young adult kids. There was something for everyone, busy, but plenty of time to relax. Great accommodations, recommendations, and excursions. It was something we will never forget.

We had a unique opportunity to follow a group of students on their singing tour of The Baltic States. Within a few days of reaching out to Gretchen we had flights, hotel rooms and tons of tour and guide recommendations, including drivers to get us to the 4 cities we visited. Gretchen provides a detailed itinerary (printed or electronic) complete with links to attractions and tickets for your tours. Her system also helps track the cost as the itinerary builds. We stumbled upon Gretchen quite by accident. After deciding to make this trip (our 1st abroad) we called a few travel agents. Gretchen was the only one to call us back promptly. We had no idea what to expect from a travel agent much less from her personally. The planning stage involved several back and forth emails and phone conversations regarding our preferences. We eventually received from her all of our event tickets and passes and a complete itinerary, and off we went, more than a little nervous about how things would go. It is hard to imagine things going any better. Day after day we presented to people thousands of miles away speaking broken english a form/pass that had been supplied to us by Gretchen, and time after time the response was, "Ah yes sir, we have you on the list, your tour will begin shortly." It was almost magical. This woman is a consummate pro. We give her the highest recommendation.

Gretchen put together our bucket list trip to visit the Asian Disney parks and sites in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo. She listened to what we wanted to do, offered suggestions of places to visit and made the necessary reservations to make it happen. Where Gretchen's expertise came into play was in taking care of the Disney parks part of our trip. They all have varying dates in which hotel reservations can be made, which are usually different from dates in which tickets can be reserved. Tokyo Disney is a whole other ball game. Reservations become available four months out and open up at 9pm EST. The hotel we wanted would literally sell out within a minute or two. Gretchen practiced using the system several times and when the time came, she got the hotel and room type that we wanted. Recharge Travel is the absolute best! Gretchen has helped me plan 4 huge trips, including 3 international ones with our kids (Disney/Universal, Galapagos, Paris/London, and Scotland). She makes everything so much easier, from travel insurance to excursions. Almost everything has been perfect, but on the very rare occasion when it wasn't, she handled the situation immediately. We had one difficult private guided excursion in Scotland where a last minute driver change resulted in us getting lost and not getting to visit the places that were promised. She has also been incredibly thoughtful about our special needs, since we have an autistic son. She always goes above and beyond!! Gretchen put together a marvelous customized trip for me to Australia last year. Gretchen is AMAZING! She planned a magical trip for my family to Disney World in January. She helped me pick some amazing restaurants and activities for us that worked well with my kids ages and fit their personalities. This was our first Disney World trip and I was overwhelmed with getting all the rides in without making it a super stressful trip and there are so many blogs out there that just overwhelmed me more. She helped me focus in on our goals and what we want out of the trip and gave us the best tips and tricks and the trip overall was PERFECT! Gretchen was the ideal travel agent, starting with the planning process and ending with emails and a phone call, even once the trip had ended! During the planning process, she helped us to find the best route around Ireland and booked the rail tickets between each of the 4 cities we decided to visit.
She also suggested and booked some amazing activities and day trips for each city, and even helped us to find 2 guided bike rides which were perfect for sight-seeing and learning about the history from the guides. Gretchen found great hotels in each city, and all 4 of the hotels were very accommodating, comfortable, and perfect locations for getting around. Each hotel also included a huge Irish breakfast!

Gretchen was AMAZING! She helped planned everything for our family’s St. Lucia trip to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. She arranged everything from our flights, our transfers, to our rooms. This trip consisted of a total of 21 people from 6 different families, traveling from 3 different states, and 4 different cities. Our age group ranged from 8 years old to 70 years old. She found us an all inclusive resort (Coconut Bay) that had something for everyone. Activities ranging from a kids club, paintball, and a petting zoo, to water slides and lazy rivers. She even helped coordinate our dinners and also walked us through having a surprise anniversary cake.

A few years ago I wanted to take my young teen grandchildren on a European Adventure. Gretchen suggested a river cruise with Tauck Bridges, geared towards multi generations. This was the perfect solution!
With her expert guidance we arrived a day early to get acclimated to the time zone change. It also allowed us the opportunity to explore a new city on our own before the tour began. We cruised the Danube River and loved every minute! Each day was filled with new adventures, along with regional food, that we could all enjoy together. River cruising is great. We loved the ambiance of a small ship, delicious food, nightly entertainment, and the scenic journey through different countries. The trip was so popular that we had Gretchen plan two more river cruises, the Rhine and the Douro River in Portugal! Her expert advice has made these three adventures lasting memories for all of us. She did exceptional planning for air flights as well as early accommodations.

We have booked several trips through Gretchen. Her customer service is unmatched, and she is very fun to work with. She has created week-long itineraries for our family based on our interests, as well as taken care of all of our needs in booking cruises and tours. Poor Gretchen even spent one unfortunate evening on the phone with us until midnight after an international flight was cancelled.

We had a great experience working with Gretchen for a very special family trip to Switzerland, Italy, Austria and France in June and July 2023.
