This truly was a trip of a lifetime and many thanks to Randi Arnar. Randi kept a close eye on us the whole way. From the beautiful town of Reykjavik to our closing night in Keflavik. Because of unpredictable weather we missed our whale tour. Randi kept an eye on our reimbursement for this and we are grateful. We enjoyed cruising and eating in Reykjavik nonetheless..great food The Sand hotel was a pure delight! Great suggestion! Next was seven waterfalls that was highly praised by Randi and were such a treat on the road trip to Vik. Takk Randi! The Myrdalsjokull Presthus Evening Sun Guesthouse was quaint and so typical of a working sheep farm. I would highly suggest this wonderful establishment. Also it’s only a 20 minute walk to the black sand beach, Reynisfjara. The basalt columns and monster waves are breathtaking! Vik was a picturesque example of this whole section of the Ring road. Something that stood out for me was the lava rock fields that are everywhere and you’re treated with some dramatic steam vents ,too! Randi kept a firm hand on what was happening each day for us…we really relied on her expert knowledge of the island. Randi of R.Wing Travel is a literal lifesaver. During our Viking Ocean cruise, a hurricane forced a last-minute Florida port closure. Before the captain even made the official announcement on board, Randi was already steps ahead. She tracked the weather and port closings in real-time, securing us a hotel at our reassigned port before they completely sold out. While other passengers were left scrambling, we were already set.
