Taylor joined Travelmation in 2023 to hopefully one day become the stay-at-home mom she has always dreamed of becoming. She is a single mom to the most adorable, yet completely rambunctious, limited-verbal autistic son, Maverick, who is completely and utterly obsessed with MeepMeep, but you probably know him as Mickey Mouse.
Maverick isn't the only one in their house obsessed with all things Disney though. One of Taylor’s favorite past times growing up was singing the sound tracks to her favorite Disney movies with her two sisters. But her true appreciation for the magic and music of all things Disney started when she was in middle school. There she had a chorus teacher that took his students to Disney World every year to become a small part of the Disney magic as they got to perform in the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. That feeling of awe and inspiration changed Taylor for life.
And now Taylor wants to be a able to give that same life changing gift that is Disney magic to her son and to the others like him that live life in the neurodivergent fast lane. Vacations should be able to be enjoyed by every member of the family. Taylor has made it a professional mission to find the world's best vacation spots that include something for everyone in the family. Roller coasters for the daredevil, spas for the exhausted parent, 4D rides for the thrill seekers, and the world's best sensory and neurodivergent focused retreats and activities for the Maverick’s of the family. Everyone deserves a chance to experience the magic, some just need to experience it from a different view and with not as much noise.
Taylor hopes to use her own personal adventures within the special needs community to highlight and showcase the unknown and hidden gems that provide families with sensory friendly, handicap accessible, and autism accepted places that already exist inside the worlds of Disney, Universal Studios, cruise lines, and the rest of the adventures that lie just beyond the northern star where dreams really do come true.
Being a Mama in the Special Needs community, I enjoy planning trips for family's that need special accommodations, especially in the autism world.
