After teaching social studies for 23 years, I decided to retire early to help my husband with our family business. In January of 2023, I decided to join Travelmation LLC, to help others plan their travel adventures. I am now ready to help singles, couples, and families discover the joy that exploring the world brings.
While attending Purdue University, I applied to do my student teaching in Exeter, England. While I was there, I explored all over England, France, Spain, and Sweden. After coming home to the states, my perspective on life had changed greatly, and I was bit by the travel bug. I started my teaching career, and put my travel dreams on hold for a while.
I have always loved the world of Disney and all the magic it brings to life. My last trip to the Magic Kingdom in 2020, was the last time I got to vacation with my mother. Disney will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason. My mother also introduced me to cruising. I have been on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean cruises, and I'm convinced that a cruise is a great way to travel.
My favorite place to explore is Alaska. I was awarded a Lilly Endowment grant to study the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in 2021. I was able to travel to Anchorage, Seward, Whittier, Denali, and Fairbanks to experience Alaska. I go back whenever I can to visit friends, and I highly recommend seeing this beautiful part of the U.S.
I live in McCordsville, Indiana with my amazing husband, 3 of our 6 children, and 3 goofy dogs. We also have 3 children who are married and two grand kids. When not planning vacations, I love reading, walking my dogs, and riding our Harley. I am so grateful to be able to follow my dreams. I would feel blessed to help you plan your next adventure!
I would love to help you plan a family trip with Disney, Royal Caribbean, or Beaches Resorts. If you can manage time away from the kids, let me plan you a romantic stay at Sandals, an adult-only Virgin Cruise, or island hopping around Hawaii.
I also have inside knowledge on places to see and stay in Alaska. Disney, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean also have amazing Alaskan cruise options. I have a connection in Juneau, Alaska if you would like to fly to a glacier and take a ride with sled dogs.
