My happy place with my favorite person

I am a 25+ year teacher in the Wake County Public School System. I have loved being a classroom teacher, but am looking toward my "second act" which will begin when I retire after 30 years of service to the people of North Carolina. I decided to pursue a career as a travel advisor because I have always loved to travel. I lost my dad last year and have re-evaluated a lot of parts of my life; when I look at my happiest times, I remember the trips I've taken and the people I've met along the way. Family vacations in my younger years and as a parent myself, as well as road trips and adventures with friends are the things I hold onto when times get dark. I  rediscovered a love for Disney World and Universal in my role as a mom. My "teacher skills" translate well into this travel advising: I am organized, detail-oriented, inquisitive, an excellent multi-tasker, and very personable.  I have a daughter who is finishing high school and a retired racing greyhound who enjoys laying around the house. I am newly unmarried and am looking forward to my future adventures-- I'd like to help plan yours too!
