Descending Moses Mountain, Sinai Governorate

 Last year, I made the decision to fulfill my dream of visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. In January 2025, I embarked on this adventure with some of my clients, who joined me on the Globus tour, Cairo and Alexandria Escape. In addition to the comprehensive information provided by the tour guide, an expert in Egyptology, I gained further insights by engaging in conversations and maintaining close proximity to the guide, who was exceptionally friendly and passionate about sharing his country’s history.

Our small group also expressed interest in exploring the Red Sea. Consequently, I meticulously planned the continuation of our journey to Hurghada, where we would reside in a luxurious all-inclusive resort overlooking the sea. I carefully planned our excursions and activities, including a day trip to Luxor, snorkel excursions, an island getaway, and a city tour. During our five-day stay in Hurghada, I acquired a profound understanding of the city and its diverse attractions.

The Red Sea was not our final destination. From Hurghada, three of us ventured to Sharm El Sheik in the South Sinai Governorate. This coastal destination offered another remarkable sea experience, but the highlight of this segment of our trip was the visit to Moses Mountain and St. Catherine’s Monastery. To achieve this, we embarked on a challenging overnight hike of 2.6 miles to witness the sunrise atop the mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Sharm El Sheik boasts a plethora of attractions for tourists.

Following this trip, my knowledge of the country expanded significantly. I established connections with locals and gained valuable insights, providing my clients with exceptional experiences. The passion I demonstrate for Egypt and the knowledge they perceive, have served as a catalyst for my clients to finally fulfill their dream of visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza.
