Not only am I a travel adviser, I am also a nurse and a mom of 4 kids. Not just a mom - a special needs mom. I realize traveling with a special needs child can really make a difference on where you travel, the things you get to see and do, where you eat, and so much more. My son is one with a very limited palate and has sensory issues related to sounds. Traveling with him can be tricky, but totally doable. I want other special needs families to know that traveling with a special needs child IS POSSIBLE! That is why it is so important to have a travel adviser when you are booking your vacation. We know the ins and outs of a lot of places, we have the resources available to us to guide you in your decision, and for some of us, we have the first hand experience to back up our support. There are many places that are special needs friendly and there are some places that are not. I am constantly receiving training on vendors to stay up to date on which ones will be the best option for those with special needs. As a nurse, I also take care of several children with special needs and know that everything is not one size fits all.
