Caribbean Escapes: Where My Travel Heart Began

Jim and I have shared many vacations within the US and with family. This was our very first cruise, and Jim has always expressed how uncomfortable he feels being on a boat. His feeling of having no control over leaving is part of what makes him uneasy—that’s just his way of feeling unsecure. You decided to arrive at the boat a day early, which turned out to be a great idea. Although the flights went smoothly, we know that sometimes things can go wrong, like mechanical issues that delay planes, and we experienced that on our journey. We spent 12 hours in Miami, and while we couldn’t control those delays, we appreciated the efforts of the airlines. Exit seats, which we paid extra for, made a big difference—though the seats from OKC to Miami and back to OKC weren’t extra leg room they were regular cabin seats. The cruise itself was incredibly smooth, well-organized, and we loved everything about the boat. We don’t usually stay out late or participate in games, but we truly enjoyed our beautiful cabin and spending most of our time relaxing on the balcony. The dining experience was excellent—every meal from breakfast to dinner exceeded our expectations, especially the remarkable food. We took a few excursions off the boat; Puerto Rico, especially San Juan, was our favorite. St. Lucia was lovely too, though the Virgin Islands was breathtaking. Overall, the cruise was a truly beautiful experience, and I can honestly say it was one of the cleanest ships I’ve ever been on. I would recommend this cruise to other adults, though seven days felt a bit long for us. Jim, who is quite tall at 6 foot 8 with broad shoulders, found the bed a little small, but Despite that, our experience was very well organized, and everything was handled smoothly at the right time. We sincerely appreciate your help as our travel agent—you did a wonderful job making everything seamless. I would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a caring, reliable travel professional.
