About Me

My teen captured this treed leopard cub in Africa

As a mom of five and a Utah–based travel advisor, I help families plan safe, personalized safaris in Africa—especially those who feel a little nervous about going so far from home.

Our own family trips to South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and beyond changed our lives, and now I design those same kinds of experiences for clients in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Bountiful, Davis County and across Utah.

I specialize in family safaris, multi-generational trips, and accessible/special needs travel. One of my children has autism, so I understand sensory needs, routines, downtime, and the importance of having the right lodge team on your side.

What I help you with:

  • Choosing the right safari areas (like Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand, Chobe, Cape Town & Johannesburg)
  • Matching you with family-friendly and autism-aware lodges
  • Building in travel days, rest time, and kid-approved activities
  • Handling flights, transfers, guides and details so you don’t have to

If you’re dreaming of Africa but feeling overwhelmed or anxious about the logistics, I’m here to walk you through every step so you can feel prepared, supported, and excited—and come home with stories your family will talk about for years.

My clients include:

  • Utah families planning their first or second African safari
  • Multi-generational groups (grandparents, parents, teens and kids)
  • Families with special needs or sensory considerations (including autism)
  • Women’s small-group trips to Africa
  • Travelers who feel anxious or unsure about visiting Africa and want a trusted guide
  • People looking for customized, privately guided itineraries, not cookie-cutter packages

What makes me unique as your safari advisor:

  • I’ve traveled to Africa multiple times with my own kids, including long-haul flights, time changes, and safari days with little ones and teens.
  • I have personal experience traveling with a child with autism, so I plan with sensory needs, downtime, and predictability in mind.
  • I partner with trusted on-the-ground teams in Southern and East Africa to make sure you have safe, authentic experiences—not just what’s in a brochure.

Why clients trust me:

  • I take time to listen first—your family’s needs, fears, schedules, and dream moments.
  • I design custom itineraries that balance game drives with rest, culture, and connection.
  • I genuinely love the process of creating trips that feel life-changing, not just “nice vacations.”
