Destination Wedding

Retie the Knot

I always said if I ever got married again, it would be on the beach somewhere.  Well, since my husband and I did not get a 30th wedding anniversary trip thanks to COVID, we had a "Retie-the-knot" celebration for year 31.  It was a lovely gazebo looking on over the beautiful 7-mile beach of Negril, Jamaica.  It was truly a magical day with family - sister and son joined us.  This gave me direct knowledge of how resorts handle these special days - from spa appointments for hair and makeup to special meals and other surprises the day of.  I have planned destination weddings now for parties as small as just the bride and groom to parties of over 50.  I also love planning honeymoons.  Probably the most unique one of those was a couple who wanted to go backpacking in Slovenia and Croatia.  We made it happen so they got just what they wanted.  I remember booking my honeymoon with a travel agent years ago, so I know what I liked about the service and what I didn't like.  Having personal knowledge from both sides is invaluable.I am a proud member of Columbia Bridal Associates which keeps me "in the know" of all the latest trends for wedding couples.
