Customers service was impeccable every detail of the trip was well thought out by Wind Star cruises. The private island entertainment added another next level of excitement to the trip. The food cuisine gave us the opportunity to sample some of the Tahitian fruits and food, the preparation and presentation was very well laid out. The staff was extremely hospitable and accommodating, they called everyone by name on the 2nd day.

Overall very pleased with two exceptions: 1. Arriving so late and boarding the ship at midnight I felt like I missed a day. In retrospect I would have appreciated a bit more on the pros and cons, and possibility, of coming in on the earlier (red eye flight). I don't think it was discussed. 2. coming in so late also resulted in missing some diving opportunities since some were fully booked by the time we could get to the dive desk (see comments below). 3. Not sure if there was any choice but it would have been nice to have some say in day room hotel options.

I never received my Globus booklet with my tip envelopes like the other travelers. I was the only one. I felt a bit left out because of that. The agent never offered me that. Also thank goodness I arrived at the ticket counter at the airport early because my travel agent was giving me the worst seats on the plane coming back home.

She kept us well informed and was always available to answer our "first-timer" questions. By the way, the only way to go is with a veranda stateroom. We spent countless hours during the day and evening when aboard ship on the veranda just watching the world go by.

We had an amazing trip! Our trip included hisorical landmarks with very knowledgable, witty and entertaining guides. Our table at the Moulin ough was front stage center! The lines were negligible for those of us on the tour bus compared to the do-it yourself trip. The cost may seem high, but you couldn't do the same trip on your own for less.

The travel agent was easy to reach. The only thing is that airport to hotel transfers were said to be included in the price. Closer to the vacation, this changed and was said to be at an additional cost. There was a miscommunication with contiki and the travel agent. But one of the transfers were provided in the end.

Rep was very efficient and handled all issues very well except for the last issue which was I did not receive my $100 cabin credit. I called halfway through the trip and she said she was informed by the end of the trip the credit would be on the account but it was not and they would not do anything on the ship. I have sent an e-mail to my rep to get me the credit now.

Avis Leeper....Avis kept us informed of any changes that may have effected us financially, as well as any " road hazards" ahead. There is a tremendous respect for Avis, and her ability to keep a "cool" head when things were not necessarily in our favor. If a quick response was needed, she made it quicker. If we needed a hotel, she hustled, and waited up late hours for our plane to land so we could confirm. Avis has put our faith in the fact that there are others who will go above and beyond the norm to ensure ones' trip goes without a hitch. Because of her, there will be many others that we will recommend to use the services of AVC. One in mind, is our son, who is currently working with her for their honeymoon in April, 2010. By-the-by, do you have any further discounts you can give my son and daughter-in-law? Gotta ask!
