Italy is a beautiful country full of vibrant, colorful, beautiful people,

wonderful, delicious food, and romantic vistas everywhere.

My own many explorations of the various areas of Italy have only

scratched the surface of all that Italy offers travelers. Talk to anyone

thinking of going to Italy and they get a certain far-off look in their eyes,

imagining their own vision of Italy. History buffs must definitely take in

all of Rome and the Vatican. It is a huge beautiful city, difficult to navigate,

with unbelievable traffic. It also has glorious architecture, art, gardens and

fountains, fashion, delicious southern Italian cuisine and...gelato!

After frenetic Rome, for balance, you can go south to the Amalfi Coast area or

north to Tuscany for a little relaxing exploration on your own, or on a tour.

Either way, you can experience the "other" Italy with a slower pace, wonderful

food and more romantic vistas than you could ever dream of.

There are so many other areas to experience in Italy that you, too, can only

scratch the surface. You will keep going back for more!
