Sometimes the right match requires real persistence. A solo traveler in his 70s came to me wanting a Northwest Passage voyage — one of the most coveted itineraries on earth. For context: for every person who sails the Northwest Passage, twelve have summited Everest. Solo cabins, without single supplement fees, on these sailings are rare. I spent months scanning supplier inventory, knowing that HX Expeditions periodically releases solo cabins at significantly reduced supplements. When that inventory appeared, I was ready. He sails this August — and is already planning his next adventure with me.
