I have always had an appreciation for different cultures.  The food, the architecture, and the different customs in each country.  I love trying things that are a little outside my comfort zone whether it's a new food, or trying to learn a new language on the fly.

While in Positano I had the opportunity to try Monkfish Ravioli as it was a special at the hotel I stayed at.  Staying true to form I ordered it not realizing what a Monkfish was.  If you don't know, Google it and you'll likely never try anything containing the ugliest fish in the world. That said, it was an experience I won't forget anytime soon.

While in Athens I had what I can only describe as a deconstructed Gyro which was just delicious and only cost about 8 euros.  I believe it was at a restaurant called All that Jatz.  Also in Athens I went and saw the changing of the guard which is very cool to see and I highly recommend it.

While travelling I like to be amongst the locals as much as possible.  Take the Metro, go to a restaurant off the beaten path, walk down that alley and you may find something incredible at the other end.
