No Worries

A friend recommended Dave and told me that all I had to do is tell him where I wanted to travel and what I wanted to do along with a budget. I did exactly that and so did Dave. We spent 14 days in Italy with 2 days added on each end for travelling. My only worry was making the connections from hotels to trains and other transportation. All our connections were perfect. The one time we didn't book a connection was from the Termini train station in Rome to our hotel and it was a real pain in the neck. I wish I would have made sure someone was there to pick us up! Our cab probably cost as much as a driver would have - and there was a very long line at the taxi stand at the station. So if Dave tells you to purchase a transfer - listen to him!!!
I can't count how many hours I spent on the phone with him planning this trip. It was a "bucket-list" trip for me and he made sure everything was perfect. I will definitely call him the next time I'm planning a long vacation.

So helpful! United Airlines canceled our flight causing them to rebook us a day later...NO!!!! We would’ve lost a day of our prepaid vacation. Dave went above and beyond to get us out a day early and a motel with shuttle to the airport, saving our vacation.

Bermuda getaway

From start to finish Dave was amazing! Hotel suggestions, travel routes, daytime excursions, restaurants - you name it, he can do it. We had a couple of unfortunate "hiccups" along the way and Dave was available 24/7 to help us out, and has even made himself available afterwards to help us file claims against an airline that destroyed my luggage! Miracles do happen!

Dave is a miracle worker. He took a bucket list dream for my husband to return to Oahu where he had done his military service decades ago and combined this goal with a reunion with longtime neighbors and turned it into a most memorable vacation. From sorting out which islands to visit, comparing cruise versus island-hopping by plane, hotels versus condominiums, and which of the possible tours to do, Dave was doggedly driven to put together an itinerary that worked for us. He even managed to have a rainbow to greet us as we arrived in Honolulu!
All four members of our party appreciated the quality of the accommodations and tours that Dave arranged for us. We also appreciated the downtime he built into the itinerary so we came back feeling as though we had been on vacation and not frenetic.

In an age where the internet and traveling are only a few clicks away, as a millennial, I still always use Dave Rosenthal to book all of my getaways and recommend to others to use Dave as well for a stress free experience. Dave truly cares about his clients and carefully books his trips, as if he was booking for his own family. Furthermore, Dave is makes himself available while you’re on your trip if you have any questions or a problem should arise. This was my third (and a half) trip with Dave. (I say half since he had to rebook our trip due to COVID travel restrictions). On this trip I had an accident (nothing to do with Dave) and he took it upon himself to help me navigate the “lovely” world of insurance claims and continued to check in on me and my health. Dave spends time with you to learn your interests, and what who your are, in order to book a vacation/excursions that will be right for you and your family. Dave created the most amazing itinerary for our 12-day vacation to Croatia! He even included two full-day tours to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro! When I want to travel, I want everything handled for me. Sure, I can review websites and look at pretty pictures of different cruises, tours or destinations, but ultimately, I will rely more on a good travel agent's opinions and advice than anything else. Dave Rosenthal has book a half dozen cruises for me in the past and the best trip I ever took, an 8 day trip of Italy to celebrate my 50th birthday last year. He booked our travel, transportation, tour group and hotels and allowed me to enjoy the trip without investing a ton of time planning every detail. Riviera River Cruise on the Danube

This vacation was a “sisters” celebration; one sister retired after working 51 years and the other celebrates a milestone birthday. The “birthday” sister was in Budapest in the Fall of 2023 and thought a river cruise (our first) on the Danube would be a wonderful trip to plan ahead for. The planning began in June of 2024 for a trip that took place in early October 2025. Dave Rosenthal of Daydream Excursions (a long time family friend and travel concierge for our parents) was instrumental in every aspect of the planning, even suggesting the not well known Riviera Travel in the U.S. The planning was done ahead of time and was organized for us with incremental payments for airfare, hotel, insurance, and the cruise. Dave met with us personally the week before our departure to review our itinerary. We were most thankful for all the time he put into making this vacation a memorable one for us.
We had an amazing “classical music” voyage on the MS Emily Brontë for 7 nights. The excursions, historical and breathtaking, were so interesting with knowledgeable tour guides that spoke in English. Our two Riviera cruise directors were personal and attended to the entertainment details at every port and on the boat. We also enjoyed and were appreciative of the wonderful crew that took care of us for the week. The food every day was something to look forward to; delicious at every meal!
We did not have any travel issues during our 10 day trip! Dave is smart and knowledgeable; he is the person to contact to plan your vacation. Dave, we appreciative you and thank you!

We've used Dave many times for our European travel and he's always come through with the best accommodations (tailored to our needs and budget), transportation arrangements we can rely on ,and fabulous suggestions for tours and sightseeing. Most recently, we needed accommodations in London for my husband and I along with our 2 adult children. When hotels weren't meeting our needs, he found us a wonderful apartment in the Bloomsbury area that not only had the space we wanted and was close to the tube -- but was located in a charming area that had us feeling like locals. Best Honeymoon Ever!!

Dave did a phenomenal job arranging our trip to St Lucia and Barbados for our honeymoon. He listened to exactly what we wanted and made our dream honeymoon a reality. He was instrumental in helping us when I got sick (He was able to walk me through getting a refund on an excursion we could not take) and also when our flight was cancelled day of (not anyone's fault but mother nature. Dave did a great job planning our trip. He took care of all the flights on Emirate Airlines to and from Milan, as well a separate flight for one of our party who met us in Venice. The hotels were all really fantastic, both for their locations and the quality of the facilies. We were crisscrossing Italy and would have loved to have stayed in some of them longer. but we had to be in Ferrara to see Bruce. Dave was in touch with me daily in planning the trip, and it went really well. We visited Milan, Lake Garda, Venice, Ferrara, and Brescia. Best food of our lives, too!

Family trip of 6 in Ireland

This is the second time using Daydream to connect the dots on a great trip abroad. Dave and his team are beyond knowledgeable and know who to put you in touch with to ensure you have a great trip.
On this trip we went to Ireland and the guide we were had the entire time we were there became one with the family. He made amazing restaurant suggestions and showed us some “local” spots that tourists wouldn’t normally see.

Dave planned a great trip for me and my Mom to go to New Orleans and then onto a cruise to Central America. I wanted to keep our vacation within a tight budget. Dave was able to keep our total vacation cost below our budget limit. This included airfare, hotel, 7 day cruise with a mini suite, unlimited beverage package, upgrade on specialty restaurants, excursions, car service and insurance! He even checked in with me a day before we left to make sure I had all of my confirmations. Dave has planned a few complicated trips for me in the past to Europe. One time I left all of my tickets at home and didn't realize it until I was already in Germany. I called Dave in a panic and he was able to work with my husband at home to get the tickets overnighted to me. I know that Dave is always there for his customers and he will go the extra mile for them. I would recommend Dave to anyone who is planning a trip.

Always fun working with Dave, getting a travel plan figured out. He did a good job with our adventure to Iceland. On day three we got our rental car and had huge smiles on our faces the next four days touring the southern part of Iceland. Highly recommend a car and doing your own tour. The car had a tablet in which all sites were marked on a map and had pop ups. Easy to use...and helpful. Easy to drive in Iceland.

He allowed us to keep a focus in London and then he planned a 3 day excusrion for us to the country side, with great highlights. Our trip to the countryside was great and went so smooth. We returned to London at the end of our trip. He planned it so we got to see a lot of sights, some days fast paced and some days at a lazier pace. We had great tours and guides thanks to his planning. Our whole family felt like we learned a lot as well as having a wonderful time. I would recommend Dave to our friends.

An Amazing Northern Europe Trip !!

We have been using Dave / Daydream Excursions for many years - and each time he never fails !! He surprised us with his new excursions and trips. He goes ABOVE AND BEYOND what he needs to do.
He plans the air, airline seats, last minute changes, cruise arrangements around Norway and Amsterdam. He then arranged for us to take a transfer to the Thalys (train) to Paris.
We did the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre tours as well as sight seeing.
On top of that he arranged the transportation to Disney Euro in Paris where we stayed another 4 days and obtained park passes which he managed as well.
I can't say enough on how personal and professional Dave is - please use him as you wont have to research anything or arrange as he is a one-stop shopping.

Great Time Across the Pond

We opted for a week in London, then Dave took care of the rest. Dave was referred to me by a coworker who promised me that Dave would make sure we had an amazing honeymoon and that he would be on call through our entire trip. Dave over delivered! Neither my wife nor I had been to London in many years so we relied upon Dave to help us plan this trip with our 13-year-old daughter. Dave suggested a lovely apartment-style hotel very close to many of the places we wanted to see. We ended up just walking to most of the places with a few trips on the Underground to supplement. Dave booked us to fly on Virgin Atlantic which was a cut above many domestic carriers I've used in the past for business. We wanted to get tickets to see In the Heights while we were there and, once again, Dave came through, this time with 5th row center seats! Knowing that my wife, my daughter and I are Harry Potter fans, Dave arranged for us to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour which was, in a word, magical! Dave expertly coordinated all arrangements for our group and ensured that all activities went perfectly, including a large New Year’s Eve dinner, wine social, and cocktail party. When the cruise line unexpectedly canceled a shore excursion we had booked, Dave immediately booked us on a comparable excursion. A Perfect Trip
