I have been on many many cruises over the years. I have taken specialty courses with many of the cruise lines.I love river cruises because the ships hold only about 160 or less passengers. You get ti immerse yourself in the culture of the area. Among my favorites  was my Mekong River cruise on AMA. It is a gorgeous ship, all wood decor. We went from Ho Chi Min City to Siem Reap in Cambodia. 

In France I took Avalon Cruises to Normandy and AMA for Provence, France. You must do the Provence cruise. It is such a wonderful area with its Architecture and history.

I did a Crystal Expedition cruise to Antarctica about 2 years ago. It was a trip of a lifetime! The ship was small but luxurious and the service and food were perfect.

Princess has larger ships that go all over the world. They are known for doing a great job with Alaska cruise tours.

I have been on Celebrity Cruises a number of times. Again larger ships than the luxury lines but not bad. The food is always good. They also go all over the world. I booked a few ladies on Celebrity last year on a Mediterranean cruise. They loved it.

I have done Viking River cruises and Ocean cruises to Norway and the Amazon. Another great line.
