Tom began travelling to Ireland when he was 18 years old on his first familiarization trip.  Tom immediately fell in love with country.  At the first hotel on his journey, the receptionist called him up to the check in area and asked what time he wanted to be knocked up in the morning, he thought “I’m in heaven”, and he answered please knock me up at 6:30am and again at 7:00am.  Little did he know, there were no telephones, radios, clocks and TVs in the bedrooms and this was a 4 star hotel, Fitzpatick’s Kiliney Castle. Fitzpatrick’s is still a great favorite of his to visit!  Back in the 1970ies and 1980ies, the staff actually went to each room and knocked on the doors to wake up people in the morning.  Tom’s first week in Ireland it only rained twice, once for 3 days and then for 4 days. 

Tom has been travelling to Ireland for over 30 years and a lot has changed since his first trip.  There are now Clock Radios, Flat Screen TV’s, Trouser Presses, Internet Access, mini-bars and much more in the hotel rooms.  Averaging three trips a year, two business trips to meet with the local vendors and one escorted coach tour to make sure the customers are receiving everything and more than what he promised, he quickly became the go to person in the greater Philadelphia region with his vast real-time experiences. 

He has chartered Boeing 747’s and Airbus A330’s and assisted thousands of satisfied customers over the years in their vacation and business travel to the Emerald Isle.  He has produced custom vacations for as many as 750 passengers on one program to as little as 1 passenger. 

Professional Travel organizations that he is or was a member in include; SKAL International Philadelphia with clubs in over 89 countries, The Shamrock Club, ITOF, Irish Travel Agents Association, ICCUSA – Philadelphia, ASTA, American Express Ireland Expert. 

His experiences in the Irish community have provided him with the honor of meeting Mary Robinson, 1st female president of Ireland and Mary McAleese, 2nd female president of Ireland.  He was able to enjoy breakfast with Mayor Giuliani of New York City and Governor Pataki of New York State, also having lunch at the private residence of the Irish Ambassador to the United States as well as cocktails with the British Ambassador to the United States and his wife in their private residence in Washington D.C.
