My passion for Africa began at an early age sparked by captivating stories of safaris and wildlife on National Geographic and learning of the brave and passionate pursuit by both Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey in their studies and bonding with the gorillas and chimps there. I had the privilege of visiting for myself in 2021 when I spent almost one month exploring the regions. During this time, I saw so much on 21 safaris experiencing the Great Migration in Tanzania as well as exploring the diversity in the Ngorongoro Crater. Getting up close and personal with Giraffe's at the famous Giraffe Manor in Kenya and seeing the grandness of Mt. Kilimanjaro for the first time. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda with only feet from such facinating creatures, discovering the vast beauty in Cape Town and the Winelands in South Africa, experiencing my first safari and hearing the sounds of the hippos at night carry across the water in the Okavango Delta in Botswana and of course, feeling the mist from the "Thunder that Roars" at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe/Zambia. I have ventured off the beaten path to discover hidden gems, remote tribal communities and lesser-known national parks that showcase the true essence of Africa. They have allowed me a deeper understanding of the region's beauty and complexity.
