Travelers with disabilities and Cruises

Hi there! My name is Katie and I have been a travel agent since March of 2022. I love what I do! I specialize in planning Accessible travel for those with all sorts of disabilities. I am uniquely situated to assist this population because of my own personal life experience. My husband and my parents are blind and I spent my entire professional career, up until March of 2022, working 1:1 with individuals with disabilities. 

My favorite part of my job is getting to know my clients. I love making connections and truly catering my services to my specific clients. I usually focus on Cruises, Disney Destinations, and Universal Orlando Resort. I have had clients travel the world and would love to work with you too!

Just a little bit about me personally, I home-school my kids and I love puzzles. My favorite method of travel is cruising! I am always looking for new podcast recommendations because I listen to so many. I also spend a good portion of my free time at the movies. I love seeing the newest releases!

It was a great trip!

Katie was very organized during all aspects of this cruise. Leading up to the cruise, she had several meetings to give us necessary information and provide us with opportunities to ask questions. She made sure everyone got on and off the ship safely and in a timely manner. Throughout the cruise itself, she was readily available to answer questions and assist when needed. Throughout the entire process, she sent out email reminders about specific dates when payments were due. She also arranged a group rate at a hotel in Seattle the evening before the ship sailed.

Cruising

I found Katie to be a friendly person, however I have to give her a lower review for a few reasons.
First, communication is very spotty. I don’t get responses to emails in the time that I need them to be responded to, sometimes it can take days to weeks and I find that to be very frustrating.
Second, I find her personality to be quite formal and a bit too corporate for my taste, she’s good at what she does and she knows how to inform people of what accommodations they can have for their cruises, but on the cruise itself I found her to just be a bit too corporate for my taste and not personable. I’ll use her as an agent in the future if her communication styles improve, however I do not plan to cruise with her. I would prefer more of a timely response to my emails in the future .
I appreciate her assistance and her knowledge of Accommodations for the cruise lines especially for persons who are blind like myself.
