COVID CHAOS

We have booked a couple of trips with Julie. One was a large family trip at Christmas time which was amazing and Julie made each step of the way easy and stress free! The second trip was supposed to be a trip for the kids and I to go to Disneyland. Unfortunately I have had to cancel this trip but Julie has been amazing and supportive through this process. COVID made everything about booking this trip more complicated and Julie spent hours on the phone to get us the best deal while navigating all of the extra rules and protocols. She made sure I was always up to date when the expectations of travel changed which happened frequently!! She was a wealth of knowledge about Disney and southern California and traveling with kids!!

Found my happy place with no fear!

Having Julie as my travel agent was the best decision I ever made. I did absolutely no work at all-Julie did it all. All I had to do was get on the plane and relax and I did just that. The vacation that she planned for me was very intricate including a language barrier of which never affected me at all. Not once was I unsure of where I was ending up as Julie planned every detail almost to the last minute. It included many airports many train connections many tourist attractions and she booked it all for me before I left. I had many papers to keep track of and they all had a stickey note detailing every move I was to make. Travelling alone was an accomplishment for me but had no fear because of the notes and how detailed they were I was never lost. As each event occurred I just pealed the note and moved on to the next. It was an absolutely amazing trip thanks to Julie. I believe If it hadn’t been for such great detailing from her I may still be in Italy. Thank you Julie

New Travellers

Recently, in March, we had just arrived in LA for a Disneyland vacation when the Covid situation hit and we had to cancel our plans and return to Canada. Julie Evans is the best Travel Consultant that my husband and I have ever dealt with. We were supposed to go to South Africa in March and then Covid 19 hit! Home for Holidays

16 hours prior to boarding our flight to go back to Ontario for Christmas and our Son's Wedding, Air Canada texted us and cancelled our scheduled flight and rerouted us into Toronto with a 35 min switchover to Ottawa.
At this point you have 2 choices: accept (goodbye luggage!) or decline (refund but no vacation).
We use and recommend using travel agents. Our agent (Julie Evans) went above and beyond to help us.
1. we phoned outside business hours and she answered!
2. she helped us (even though she was on the way to her own Christmas party)
3. she was able to re-schedule us into an earlier flight that allowed us to keep our originally scheduled connection in Calgary
This is the 3rd time we've used Julie Evans as our travel agent and wouldn't consider using any other method for our travel plans.

Just Getting to Know You…so far so Good.

This is the first time we have used Julie’s Travel to coordinate our Mediterranean Cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary. So far we are pleased with the services Julie and Sam have provided, working online with them, which we haven’t experienced, as we are AMA members and have used their travel services previously.
Both Julie and Sam are very hands on and quickly respond to requests from us with viable options as we plan our trip.
After selecting our cruise itinerary, they offered several ideas wrt flights, hotels, transfers and excursions. They were receptive to ideas we proposed and worked them into the Travefy itinerary package the offer to their clients which we found very helpful in allowing us to keep track of our trip.
We hope that our upcoming trip takes place without too many changes to our itinerary, given the chaos that is occurring wrt fuel and are hopeful that Julie’s will guide us as necessary.
The real benefit of having a travel agent is when changes occur, how they will respond and guide us through the challenges that such presents.
We’ll certainly be sure to share more about our experience with Julie’s once we get back home, but so far so good.

I was referred to Julie by a friend of mine. I had no idea that travel agents still existed and I am glad they did. I was having no luck with flights into one city in Europe and out of another city. The best I could find was over 10k for a first class ticket and she found flights for under 6K. She was also able to book me a cruise and got me onboard ship credit

Would give her more stars if they were available. We have been planning this trip for Africa for awhile. Working within a budget. Julie was so patient; She spent so much time and energy to set up our dream vacation. IT WAS NOT EASY for her. She did it, she got us to the places we wanted to see and within our limited budget. Her experience in the areas that we are going to be traveling was also an asset for us. Since we are provinces apart, we did zoom calls. We did meet up with her when she was in our area. We are taking a trip of a lifetime to Africa. We interviewed many travel agents and we chose Julie. We chose her because right from the beginning she was by far the most accommodating , approachable, and the most knowledgeable and trustworthy. So we chose Julie and never regretted our decision . Julie has given us 200% and always made time for us. She is not a pressure sales person. She is more of an educator and an advisor. Her experience is second to none. This process was all about us and what we wanted even if that meant many phone calls, meetings and zoom calls. We felt this isn't her job , this is her true passion. She loves helping people with their travel plans. We finally booked our land and air and we KNOW Julie will be there for us until we arrive back safely and happy. The BEST! Julie took care of our flights and accommodations to the Bahamas when our depart flight was cancelled in out of Edmonton. West Jet wanted us to come the next day, fly from Edmonton to Regina, back to Calgary, and then Toronto to Nassau. She arranged us to leave from Calgary the next day and same flight times and schedule, pushed our return flight and accommodations back so we didn't miss any time. Had we not used her we would have lost so much time and our trip would have been shortened. She is the best and highly recommend her, she take the call when no one else will :)

Julie is there to handle anything and everything

Julie is a very energetic, knowledgeable serivce-orientated agent. She takes care of everything,even things you never even dreamed of. It doesn't matter what the location, she automatically knows so many things to do and see once you arrive at your destination. When she does a group tour, even if there is only a two hour window of opportunity to do something extra, she is willing, wether it be with the whole group or a only a few that are interested in something in particular.
We recently has a group tour to New York City, wherein fog prevented us from leaving. We kept getting cancelled and bumped (25+people)...she would get us re-booked immediately (in New York and our connecting in Toronto) and more than once, throughout our day in the airport. When we were all finally cancelled for the night, she arranged a bus for all of us and rooms in a nearby hotel (remember 100s of people were just turned away and we were 25 +people).
Julie is amazing, smiley, bubbly and vibrant...her giggle is infectious and she gets as excited as you do about your trip when making the plans. Have been to L.A., Vegas, Dallas, Washington, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, New York City, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, BC Grizzly Bear Catamaran Tour...loved all of them.
Would never consider booking with anyone else. Can't wait for the next trip.

Julie goes above and beyond to help her clients. This last trip was a perfect example when due to Covid 19 I found my return flight had been cancelled. Julie worked tirelessly to bring me home. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. Flights had to be rebooked more than once and an overnight stay in London proceeded without difficulty because Julie had contacted various hotels in order to secure a room. Julie even checked the availability of taxi service and public transport to make certain I didn’t encounter any problems getting to and from the airport.

London trip of a lifetime!

Julie put together a trip to London for my brother and myself. It was well planned and included all of the tickets for tours and trains as well as hotel. She picked the perfect hotel for us which was close to the main station of Victoria with a bus stop right outside our door. A True Hero
