About Me

A trip to Tanzania is an unforgettable journey into the heart of East Africa, where vast savannahs, towering mountains, pristine beaches, and rich cultures converge. Whether you're chasing the Big Five on safari, summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, or relaxing on the spice-scented shores of Zanzibar, Tanzania offers an experience as diverse as its landscapes. Starting in Arusha: Gateway to Safari Adventures Most safari journeys begin in Arusha, a lively town at the foot of Mount Meru. Arusha serves as the launching point for the legendary Northern Circuit of Tanzanian safaris. Before setting off, visitors can explore local markets, visit coffee plantations, or tour the Cultural Heritage Centre, which showcases Tanzanian art and history. Serengeti National Park: Home of the Great Migration No trip to Tanzania is complete without experiencing the Serengeti, one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world. The endless golden plains are teeming with lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and more. The highlight for many is the Great Migration, where over a million wildebeest and zebras move in search of greener pastures—crossing rivers in dramatic fashion and attracting predators. Ngorongoro Crater: A Natural Wonder Just south of the Serengeti lies the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth. The crater’s steep walls enclose a lush, self-contained world where you can spot all of the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—in a single game drive. The views from the rim are absolutely breathtaking. Tarangire and Lake Manyara: Hidden Gems For a quieter safari experience, Tarangire National Park offers stunning baobab-studded landscapes and large herds of elephants, especially during the dry season. Nearby, Lake Manyara National Park is known for its flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and lush groundwater forests. These parks are perfect for travelers looking to explore beyond the usual routes. Mount Kilimanjaro: The Roof of Africa For adventurers, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. The trek takes you through diverse ecosystems—from rainforest to alpine desert—before reaching the snowy summit at Uhuru Peak. Whether you choose the popular Machame Route or the scenic Lemosho Route, a Kilimanjaro trek demands preparation, determination, and offers unmatched rewards. Zanzibar: Tropical Paradise and Cultural Treasure After your mainland adventures, head east to the Zanzibar Archipelago for a dose of beach bliss and Swahili culture. The island of Unguja (commonly called Zanzibar) boasts powdery white beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and historic Stone Town, a UNESCO site known for its winding alleys, spice markets, and ornate wooden doors.Explore coral reefs while snorkeling in Mnemba Atoll, visit the Jozani Forest to see rare red colobus monkeys, or take a traditional dhow cruise at sunset. The island’s unique blend of Arab, Persian, Indian, and African influences is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and traditions. Cultural Encounters Tanzania is home to over 120 ethnic groups, each with its own language and customs. You can visit a Maasai village to learn about their semi-nomadic lifestyle or explore the culture of the Chaga people near Kilimanjaro. Local guides and responsible tourism initiatives offer respectful and insightful ways to connect with Tanzania’s diverse heritage. Travel Tips for Tanzania Best time to visit: June to October for safaris; December to March for calving season in the Serengeti.Health & safety: A yellow fever vaccination is recommended, and malaria prophylaxis is advised.Currency: Tanzanian shilling (TSh); US dollars are widely accepted for tourism.Languages: Swahili and English are both official languages, and most people in the tourism industry speak English well. Final Thoughts From sunrise safaris in the Serengeti to sunsets over the Indian Ocean, Tanzania delivers moments of awe at every turn. Whether you're a thrill-seeker, a nature lover, or a culture enthusiast, Tanzania's landscapes and people will leave a deep and lasting impression.

INCREDIBLE SAFARI TRIP!!!
Reviewed By BryanB - Myrtle Beach SC | Traveled to Africa
I really don't have a bucket list, but one trip on my list was an African Safari. Nanta made that happen for myself and a buddy of mine. What she put together for us was exactly what I had dreamed about. In fact, it was better! As you can imagine, my buddy and I didn't know anything about Africa and certainly didn't want to make mistakes while planning it ourselves. Everything Santa planned moved seamlessly. Accommodation selections were top notch. EVERYWHERE! Car service pick ups were on time. I couldn't have been happier.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
