About Me

A trip to Sicily is a journey through ancient history, sun-drenched landscapes, and vibrant Mediterranean culture. This stunning Italian island, nestled between Europe and Africa, offers travelers a dynamic blend of natural beauty, archeological wonders, coastal charm, and unforgettable cuisine.Arrival in Palermo Begin your adventure in Palermo, Sicily’s lively capital. The city's energy is infectious, with bustling markets like Ballarò and Vucciria offering local flavors and fresh produce. Explore the Norman Palace, marvel at the golden mosaics of the Palatine Chapel, and wander through the narrow alleyways of the old town. Be sure to sample traditional street foods like arancini (stuffed rice balls), sfincione (Sicilian pizza), and panelle (chickpea fritters).Historical Treasures in the West Venture west to discover the ancient city of Segesta with its remarkably preserved Greek temple and hilltop theater. Further along the coast lies Trapani, a charming seaside town perfect for sunset walks and seafood dining. Nearby, the medieval town of Erice sits atop a mountain, offering sweeping views and cobblestone streets that feel like stepping back in time. The Valley of the Temples and Agrigento No trip to Sicily is complete without a visit to Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most impressive archaeological areas in all of Italy. The Temple of Concordia, dating back to the 5th century BC, stands nearly intact, showcasing the island’s deep ties to ancient Greece.Mount Etna and the East Coast Drive east to Catania, a Baroque city built from volcanic stone in the shadow of Mount Etna. The active volcano is a must-see, whether you choose to hike its slopes, take a guided jeep tour, or ride the cable car for panoramic views. Etna also gives life to some of Sicily’s finest wines, making vineyard tours a memorable experience.Taormina and Coastal Beauty Taormina, perched above the Ionian Sea, is one of Sicily’s most romantic and scenic towns. Its Greek Theater, still in use today, offers views of Mount Etna and the coastline that are simply breathtaking. The town’s medieval streets are filled with boutiques, cafes, and gardens. Nearby, Isola Bella’s turquoise waters are ideal for a swim or boat tour.Siracusa and the Southeast Continue south to Siracusa, once a powerful city of the ancient Greek world. The historic island of Ortigia is a maze of elegant Baroque architecture, lively piazzas, and seafront promenades. Visit the Temple of Apollo and the Fountain of Arethusa, and don’t miss the archaeological park, home to the Greek Theater and the mysterious Ear of Dionysius.Sicilian Food and Culture Sicily’s culinary scene is a highlight in itself. With influences from Arab, Spanish, Greek, and Norman cultures, the island offers dishes that are both rich and diverse. Taste caponata, pasta alla Norma, cannoli, and the sweet almond-based cassata. Pair your meals with a glass of Nero d’Avola or Marsala wine, and end with a sunset aperitivo overlooking the sea.Final Thoughts Sicily is more than just a destination—it’s a sensory experience. From the scent of lemon groves and the sound of church bells to the taste of sun-ripened tomatoes and the sight of crumbling ruins, the island leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're exploring ancient temples, lounging on pristine beaches, or dining in a rustic trattoria, Sicily welcomes you with open arms and a story in every stone.

INCREDIBLE SAFARI TRIP!!!
Reviewed By BryanB - Myrtle Beach SC | Traveled to Africa
I really don't have a bucket list, but one trip on my list was an African Safari. Nanta made that happen for myself and a buddy of mine. What she put together for us was exactly what I had dreamed about. In fact, it was better! As you can imagine, my buddy and I didn't know anything about Africa and certainly didn't want to make mistakes while planning it ourselves. Everything Santa planned moved seamlessly. Accommodation selections were top notch. EVERYWHERE! Car service pick ups were on time. I couldn't have been happier.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
