It's no secret that making plans for travel, especially internationally, can be a lot of work and cause a lot of headaches! This often deters people from planning vacations to places that they dream of visiting. But it doesn't have to be that way! I specialize in planning and creating custom, bespoke travel packages for individuals and groups. In fact, I have spent much of my career familiarizing myself with various tour companies, local laws, travel requirements, must-see destinations, the best establishments, insider tips for each location, and more. The more prepared you can be before you travel, the more likely you are to enjoy your vacation, and that is my goal!
I have personally created and led multiple group tours. Getting to know my customers through travel together is one of the highlights of my career! I really like to combine land tours with a cruise component of some sort, as this really helps create a multi-dimensional experience for my customers.
Some of the destinations we have visited together include three trips to Oberammergau with Globus, various Alaskan cruise tours, an Africa land tour with a 3-day river cruise component, an Australia/New Zealand cruise and tour, a cruise and tour to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu with Celebrity & Silversea, a tour group to China, a tour and cruise to Greece, and a group tour with 3 night Nile River cruise in Egypt/Jordan. I have also planned more bespoke Europe packages than I can count!

Kay is so easy to work with. She was efficient in getting a cruise for 12 of us scheduled. Because of a hospitalization and rehab, two weeks prior to the cruise, my husband and I were unable to go. I contacted Kay who shared the process and got our cruise canceled. Her guidance through the process of canceling and filing insurance was extremely helpful. We first met Kay on a trip to Africa that she hosted. Everything went so smoothly and any hick-ups that happened were taken care of effortlessly by Kay. The itinerary she planned was amazing. We traveled to 5 countries and the tours and accommodations she arranged were great.

My only complaint is that sometimes she doesn’t get back to me and I have to contact her again. She is now independent so I worry she cant get as good a deal as I got when she was with a big company.

An Amazing Italian Trip

She was especially helpful when we wanted to plan an Italy excursion outside of Rome during our trip in October of 2023. More than a travel agent

Kay has always been so helpful in planning our trips but even more that that she is someone who goes beyond what you would expect should there ever be a problem. She has helped us get discounts for a cruise and a refund on airline tickets that the ticketing agency was not inclined to provide. The trips that she organizes herself and acts as tour guide are fantastic. One we took to Africa with Kay was absolutely one of our favorite trips. Everything was organized to the tee. The experience of seeing the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino) was something we'll never forget. Maybe even better than that though were the cultural experiences of visiting villages in Botswana and Namibia. We could not have imagined a better trip.

Route 66 trip on Trafalgar

Alaska - Our Goal Destination On the Horizon!

We have had a fabulous experience working with Kay Sandford. We had a lengthy trip planned in 2020 which was cancelled due to COVID and personal health issues. Kay helped us every step with the details of planning the trip to handling our refund. We are not experienced travelers. Kay has guided us through all the little details to give us the best opportunity to have a perfect trip from the size of the ship, the destinations that will fit our preferences, to whether we want a bathtub or a shower in our room. Things we would not even know to consider! She is always available for my questions about insurance or a hotel reservation for the night before the package begins. While she was traveling herself, she had a very knowledgeable assistant available who took phone calls and answered emails! We can not imagine how any agent could do more for their clients.

European Adventures
Kay has extensive experience in travel domestically and internationally and walks you through the "do's and don'ts" of travelling abroad. She was especially helpful when we wanted to plan an Italy excursion outside of Rome during our trip in October of 2023.
