A few years ago, I planned a trip to visit my Yayia in Samos, Greece, with my two young children. I wanted them to experience the beauty, culture, and warmth of one of my favorite places—and to meet family who live far away. Excited, I called my travel agent to handle our arrangements. What I thought would be seamless quickly became a nightmare. A flight change left us with an 18-hour layover in Toronto. Despite repeated calls, my agent refused to take responsibility, insisting it wasn’t his problem and directing me back to the airline. Weeks passed, the trip approached, and I was left frustrated, stressed, and unsure how to get my children and me home safely. Adding to the challenge, my friend—who was supposed to travel with us to help manage the kids—could no longer come. Facing the daunting reality of traveling alone with two young children, I purchased a new flight home. My agent refused to cancel the original tickets, and arriving at the airport was pure chaos—juggling multiple itineraries, checking in the children, and navigating airline staff. While we eventually made it home safely, the experience was exhausting and a stark reminder of how complicated travel can become without a reliable advisor. This trip changed the way I view travel planning. I knew I never wanted my clients to face the uncertainty and stress I endured. From that point on, I committed to being a travel advisor who is fully present, proactive, and devoted to my clients every step of the way. From the first call to booking, from navigating flights and accommodations to ensuring a smooth return home, I am with my clients throughout the journey . By the time a trip is complete, I want my clients to feel as though they are traveling with a trusted friend—someone who has their back, solves problems before they arise, and ensures every experience is seamless, memorable, and joyful.
