About Me

Sailing the Dalmation Coast - Trogir, Croatia
Sailing the Dalmation Coast - Trogir, Croatia

Group travel is one of the most rewarding kinds of trips you can take. It's also one of the hardest to actually pull off.

Most group trips don't make it out of the group chat. Someone has to take the lead, which means someone has to field twenty opinions about dates and budgets and destinations while also trying to stay friends with everyone. The logistics multiply fast. What starts as an exciting idea becomes a project nobody has time for, and eventually the thread just goes quiet.

I'm the person who makes it happen instead.

I specialize in small group travel for people who already know each other. Friend groups, couples traveling together, cycling clubs, wine enthusiasts, anyone who wants to share a real experience with people they care about. My sweet spot for group travel includes Croatia, France, Vietnam, Slovenia, and South Africa, with a particular focus on active itineraries and food and wine experiences. River cruise groups are a specialty of mine as well — the format is genuinely perfect for groups because everyone shares the experience without having to make dozens of individual decisions every day.

Here's what I've found: most people in a group love the idea of a trip together. They just don't love the planning. I bridge that gap. I work with a group leader who can speak for the group and keep communications manageable, and then I handle everything from there. Every detail, every booking, every contingency. I'm good at hearing what different people in a group actually want and building something that works for all of them, not just a compromise that nobody's particularly excited about.

I also think about what makes group travel work beyond the logistics. Pacing that gives people breathing room and time to explore on their own when they want it. Activities that are genuinely worth doing together rather than just filling the schedule. Meals that become the highlights of the trip. These are the things that turn a group vacation into the one everyone talks about for years.

If you have a group and a destination in mind, or even just the seed of an idea, I'd love to help you figure out what it could look like.

Unforgettable Experiences in Scotland
Reviewed By Jason L. - Oakland, CA | Traveled to Scotland ~ Europe
We were unsure what to expect when seeking a travel agent for our trip. We had a basic idea of things we wanted to do and see in Scotland, but it was very basic. Ultimately, using a travel agent helped us put together an itinerary that we would never have been able to do on our own. Finding spots between and around our original basic itinerary was extremely helpful. We experienced so much more of Scotland because of it. Further, helping to nail down the best places to stay and see in those locations was an immensely helpful thing the travel agent did. The activities that stood out the most were our daytrip to the isle of Skye, as well as our travels to Islay for various whisky tastings. Those are experiences we won't forget, and whenever we make it back to Scotland, we'll definitely be spending more time in both those areas.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Alaska cruise
Reviewed By Mike - Portland, OR | Traveled to Alaska ~ USA
Rachel suggested a cruise that fit our schedule and helped us navigate all the various offers and options for the cruise itself. She also showed us where to park for the week and suggested shore excursions that our family would enjoy together.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Amazing Galapagos cruise!
Reviewed By Jaclyn M. - Portland, OR | Traveled to Galapagos Islands ~ Ecuador ~ South America
Rachel is awesome! We loved our accommodations! Samari Spa resort was incredible; the Galapagos cruise was amazing; we really enjoyed our final night at ILLA Experience Hotel and wish we had more time to spend there. We emailed about this while on the trip, but wanted to put here as well: everywhere we stayed (except the final night - thank you for fixing, Rachel!) we had two twin beds. We're a legally married couple, and while I understand difficulties with same sex couples in other countries and by no means is your fault, it was a bit disappointing to show up and always have two beds. Overall the trip was fantastic. Just what we were hoping for!
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

    One Perfect Week in Alaska

In August of 2022, I boarded my very first cruise to Alaska. Little did I know at the time how memorable the trip would be! In Vancouver, we boarded our ship, the Holland America Koningsdam. It was a beautiful, late summer day with clear blue skies and the air was warm and full of possibility. I enjoyed the view of sailing away from Vanco...
