Having the opportunity to travel is one of the most rewarding experiences we can have.  In my experience with student travellers, not only does it enhance learning curriculum, but also fosters self-confidence, independence, and curiosity in young people.

After graduating with a B.Ed. in French studies, my career led me into the wonderful world of independent schools and international education, working at the Canadian College Italy.  I joined Ellison Tours in 2006, after spending 6 years living in Lanciano, an ancient Roman city surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea.  It was an ideal setting for me to discover the country and become fluent in Italian.

While in Italy, I discovered tour managing, and quickly came to love the role.  Since then, I have escorted numerous high school and adult groups through Italy, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia.  The travel motivations of these groups were varied, and I have escorted educational tours, battlefield tours, choirs, orchestras, sports teams, and leisure travellers. 

My personal travels have also taken me to Egypt, Thailand, Cuba, Alaska, and, my new favourite, Iceland!

Through travel, I have seen people, both young and old, consider opportunities that they wouldn’t have known existed if they had stayed at home.  I look forward to helping you make the world your classroom.  Buon viaggio!
