I have always dreamed of visiting Africa, the continent of diverse cultures, landscapes and wildlife. When I finally got the chance to go, I decided to make the most of it by exploring two different countries Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar.

My first stop was Kenya, where I joined a hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara National Reserve. This was an unforgettable experience, as I soared above the vast plains and witnessed the great migration of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. I also saw lions, elephants, giraffes and other animals from a bird’s eye view. The balloon ride was followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush, where I met some friendly Masai warriors who shared their culture and traditions with me.

From Kenya, I crossed the border into Tanzania, where I visited the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. These are two of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world, and for good reason. The Serengeti is home to millions of animals, including the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural wonder, a huge volcanic caldera that hosts a rich ecosystem of flora and fauna. I was lucky enough to see cheetahs, hippos, flamingos and even a rare black rhino.

After enjoying the wildlife of Tanzania, I headed to the island of Zanzibar for some relaxation and beach fun. Zanzibar is a tropical paradise, with white sand beaches, turquoise waters and palm trees. I stayed at a luxury resort that offered me all the comforts and amenities I needed. I spent my days swimming, snorkeling, sailing and sunbathing. I also explored the historic Stone Town, where I learned about the island’s rich history and culture. I visited the spice markets, the old fort, the House of Wonders and the former slave market.

This truly is a bucket-list destination and no wonder I've hosted small groups to this amazing destination at least three times.  It won't be the last!
