Hyatt Inclusive Collection- Secrets Akumal

In February 2025, over 70 guests gathered at Secrets Akumal to celebrate the beautiful wedding of Savannah & Sean. The weekend was filled with perfect weather, heartwarming moments, and the unforgettable experience of watching the "Big Game" live, poolside, under the stars.

Savannah and Sean entrusted me with the coordination of their guests’ accommodations and transportation, alleviating a significant burden from their shoulders. Over a year prior to their special day, in October 2023, they reached out to me with plans to marry at Secrets Akumal in Riviera Maya, Mexico. I collaborated with trusted suppliers, including Funjet Vacations and the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, to secure a contract and manage the details for room bookings. Serving as the point of contact for all guests, I was able to relieve the couple of additional stress during their planning and preparation.

To streamline the booking process, guests used a Google Form to select their travel dates and room preferences. A flexible payment system allowed them to pay a small deposit and manage payments according to their budget. In addition to email correspondence, I was available by text and phone to address any questions or concerns.

About 2-3 weeks before the wedding, I sent all guests a comprehensive information packet, detailing resort amenities and tips for navigating Tulum, Mexico. Since many guests were traveling internationally for the first time, it was important for me to ensure they felt confident and prepared.

Guests consistently praised Secrets Akumal, describing it as one of the most “serene” and “luxurious” resorts they had ever experienced. Some have even expressed interest in returning!

Although this was my first destination wedding as a travel agent, the wealth of experience I gained over the past 15 months has been invaluable.
