Exploring Alaska and Hawaii with My Grandsons 

Traveling to Alaska and Hawaii with my two oldest grandsons was an adventure of a lifetime, filled with memories we’ll cherish forever! Our journey kicked off in the magnificent expanses of Alaska. Imagine soaring the skies on a thrilling flightseeing tour over Denali – such a breathtaking sight! We dove into the world of dog sledding, embarked on a mesmerizing glacier cruise, and made furry friends at the Williams Reindeer Farm and Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The cherry on top of our Alaskan escapade was the Arctic Thunder military airshow – a patriotic spectacle that filled our hearts with admiration and acknowledgment for our brave servicemen and women, especially inspiring my grandson Colton’s dream of becoming a pilot. And of course, we indulged in some quality family time with my sister and brotherinlaw, which was a sheer delight.Next up, we journeyed to the Big Island of Hawaii – Kona! Meeting my daughter and soninlaw, who were honeymooning, added a sprinkle of magic to our island adventure. From watching sizzling volcanoes to marveling at enormous waterfalls, every moment was pure enchantment. The boys were wide eyed with excitement, especially during our helicopter tour over black sand beaches, turtle encounters, and those majestic lava fields! Not to mention, our visit to a Seahorse Farm, chilling at the beach, and clapping along at a traditional luau! Our holiday wasn’t without its twists and turns; the CrowdStrike Outages meant navigating canceled and delayed flights, resulting in spontaneous stopovers in Seattle and Los Angeles. Unexpected, but the boys were thrilled to add two more cities to their vacation diary – purely from a hotel and airport perspective, but an adventure nonetheless! One heartwarming gem was an Alaska Airlines pilot who graciously invited my 6yearold grandson to sit in the pilot's seat! His joy lit up the sky! ??These precious memories are what keep my passion for travel alive and inspire me to help you craft your own unforgettable adventures.
