Born in St. Catharines, I moved up to the Sauble Beach area when I was 10. I lived there until I left for college. I spent one year in the Radio and Television Broadcasting Program at Niagara College and then graduated from the Journalism/Print program at Conestoga College. 

After working for a variety of weekly newspapers, I moved to Kitchener-Waterloo. I began working for the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and worked with them until my retirement in 2018. My love for food and travel (and wine!) was fuelled through my role as a Product Consultant with the LCBO for many years. I am married, and have two children, two grandchildren (with another on the way!), a dog and a grand-cat.

My wife and I have always had a passion for travel, and have taken every available opportunity to see the world. Together we form "Team Hough", the dynamic duo of travel advisors! We have been able to see some very exotic destinations that some people only dream about--I'm here to help you fulfill those travel dreams you have always had!
