Sippin' on a cherry flavored ICEE in the back seat of my family's station wagon, I can remember looking out the window as the sun was rising up over the smoky haze that lingers over the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The sky was lit up with illuminating hues of red, orange, and yellow and I recall telling my mom, "Look, God painted the sky!" Later that day we hiked up the long, steep path leading to Clingmans Dome. Once reaching the top, I felt a cool breeze brush against my face and I felt a peace and calm that I had never felt before. The sight of God's beautiful creation, slathered with vibrant colors of blue, purple, green, and gray, was dancing before my eyes like a kaleidoscope of rainbows. This is the moment I fell in love with travel!
