If you ever feel the need to completely de-stress then this is the type of vacation you really need to take. Days of endless relaxation enjoying beautifully prepared, delicious food. Cold beers, chilled wines and unique cocktails to quench the thirst. At night enjoy top notch entertainment or maybe the casino if your resort has one. Put all these components together and add in days of lazing by the pool or on a cabana on the beach and you have the recipe for the most enjoyable vacation ever.

There are over 700 islands and cays to choose from in the Caribbean, which comprises of some 13 island nations and around 12 dependent territories. The whole area covers an area of approximately one million square miles. So there's quite a vast range of options for you to choose from.

From the resorts you can take any number of tours which might be to a historical ruin, a local market or even a sail around your chosen island with a bbq thrown in for good measure. Or you could do what we did and spend our gloriuosly blissful 7 days in our Punta Cana resort living in an area about 400 yards wide and 200 yards deep from the beach. We never left the resort, our butler took care of all our dinner reservations, we basically did nothing for 7 days. It was wonderful!!
