If you are an active explorer like me you may find an Alaska expedition to be the way to see Alaska.  Set sail on a small vessel that gets you into the misty fjords and docked at the quaint historic towns. You get up close to the magnificent glaciers, the splendid wildlife and the pristine wilderness.  We took a Jetboat to experience the sights and sounds of calving of the glaciers, hiked with a guide through the Tongass National Forest, boarded a Zodiak to find stunning waterfalls, playful sea otters and majestic whales.
