When my husband and I wanted to take our first trip to Disney as newlyweds in 2000, I read seven books on Walt Disney World- hungry for any insider tips on how to make the trip a success.  I like to think this was the unofficial start to my travel agent career- as I became HOOKED on Disney after that trip.  Upon my return home I started recommending others travel there and soon became a contact for my friends and their friends, helping them plan their trips.  In 2013 I was presented the opportunity to officially become a travel agent and I jumped at it!  I now had access to official Disney trainings and the expertise of my fellow agents working at Castle Dreams Travel to improve my knowledge and ability.  As a bonus, I could now learn and explore other destinations as well.  While Disney vacations do account for most of my business, I also do a great deal of Universal Orlando bookings, which I've also visited multiple times and attended multiple on-line and in-person trainings.  My experience doesn't stop there.  My Disney and Universal clients have returned to me asking for assistance with other locations, and I'm happy to oblige!  I love to learn about other destinations.  Every time I plan a trip for a client, I find myself wanting to take the same trip.  One of my favorite things to do as an agent is help PERSONALIZE a vacation for a family.  This especially applies to first time Disney or Universal travelers.  Folks don't realize all the things that need to be considered and reserved in advance for these destinations.  I like to walk them through the process and help them pick the experiences that THEIR families will enjoy.  (Planning DINING is my FAVORITE).  I want everyone who books through me to make memories that will last a lifetime!
