I am originally from the Chicago area where I was born and raised with my 2 older siblings. I knew from a young age that I wanted to give back to the community and at 5 was already planning my career as a teacher. 

After receiving my Bachelor of Arts from California State University Fullerton, I found myself back in Illinois where I would continue my education and earn a Master’s in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special Education and this is where my career began.

When my soldier called to tell me he was deploying and wanted me to pick up and move to be with him, plans shifted again but I found an awesome job as the Autism Specialist at a middle school in Colorado and was thrilled to move forward in my personal life and dream job.

This roller coaster we call life happened and I decided to leave my career in teaching to stay home and focus on our family. Two beautiful kids, two dogs, and multiple deployments later, I wanted to provide financially again for my family but knew that having me as a constant at home was important. 

Those around me recognized my love for planning vacations and suggested I should find a way to make a career out of it. A fellow military spouse started telling me more about the agency she worked for, Marvelous Mouse Travels, and it felt like the right opportunity at just the right time so I took a leap of faith.

Here I am now, a Master Planner with Marvelous Mouse Travels, voted Best Travel Agent in the Springs for 2025, supporting my family and helping clients plan vacations to destinations across the globe!
