Amaris in Turks & Caicos

Caribbean beaches are among the best in the world. Grace Bay in Turks & Caicos, Bimini in the Bahamas, and Negril in Jamaica are my favorites that I've seen in person so far. The beautiful beaches are a popular reason to visit, but also consider the food, culture, and resort options.

A common request for the Caribbean is an all-inclusive resort. I also hear an all-inclusive resort, but not in Mexico, Dominican Republic, or Jamaica. Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica are the three countries that have the most all-inclusive resorts with several brand options. The large variety means that I can match you with a resort that fits your beach needs, food needs, room needs, and more. If you really don't want those three countries, there are some other options. Sandals and Beaches Resorts are also all-inclusive and located at more unique destinations such as Barbados, Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, Curaçao, Antigua, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The majority of these are Sandals properties which are adult-only and mostly tailored towards couples. Club Med is another brand with all-inclusive resorts outside the three major countries. They have properties in Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, Guadeloupe, and Martinique. Secrets will be opening a property in Aruba soon. Antigua has a handful of options including Royalton Antigua Resort & Spa, Hammock Cove Antigua, and Galley Bay Resort & Spa.

Another way to experience Caribbean islands is with a European Plan resort. This type of resort is not all-inclusive and you would pay for food, drinks, and activities as needed. Aruba is often best explored with a European Plan resort because they have restrictions on the number of all-inclusive resorts allowed on the island. Their goal is for you to experience local restaurants and culture.

We've talked about land-based options, but visiting by cruise ship is also an option! The major brands such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Princess Cruise Line visit many islands. If you are looking for a unique experience, smaller ships can take you to the lesser known islands for a more intimate experience. Windstar, Ponant, and Crystal Cruises are options for this.
