About Me

Europe has always been the dream. The romance of Paris, the history of Rome, the beauty of the Greek Isles, the castles of Scotland, the vineyards of France. But 2026 travel isn’t just about ticking countries off a list, it’s about connection, depth, authenticity, and meaning.

Travel has evolved. Instead of rushing between landmarks, travelers want to feel rooted in destinations. Instead of overcrowded tourist traps, they want hidden gems. Instead of stressful itineraries, they want balance, relaxation, and immersive experiences.

In 2026, Europe will still be the world’s most beloved continent, but the way travelers experience it is dramatically changing.

Let’s explore the biggest Europe travel trends shaping your 2026 adventure, and the destinations that should absolutely be on your radar.

Trend #1: Slow Travel and Immersion Over “Checklist Travel”

The old way: 7 countries in 10 days.

The new way: Meaningful time in fewer places.

Travelers in 2026 want to spend time really getting to know a destination. That means staying longer in one region, digging into culture, cuisine, and everyday life rather than racing between selfies at famous landmarks.

Trend #2: Secondary Cities Becoming the New Superstars

The big cities will always shine… Paris, Rome, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam. But with crowds, rising pricing, and capacity limits, travelers are discovering someplace magical.

Europe’s lesser-known cities are just as stunning, sometimes more authentic, and often more affordable.

These “secondary” cities offer incredible history, architecture, food scenes, and cultural depth, and often with fewer crowds and much better pricing.

Trend #3: River Cruising Is Bigger Than Ever

River cruising isn’t just growing, it’s exploding.Instead of being in the ocean far from destinations, river ships glide directly through Europe’s heart, allowing access to charming towns and iconic cities alike. River cruising offers something incredibly rare: comfort, culture, ease, and enrichment all at once.

Trend #4: Culinary Travel Is Front and Center

More travelers than ever are choosing destinations based on food, and Europe delivers. Food tells a story. It preserves history. It connects travelers with locals in ways few other experiences can. If you love to eat, Europe in 2026 is basically calling your name.

Trend #5: Adventure Europe Is Booming

Travelers no longer want to just look at Europe. They want to experience it. That means active adventure travel is becoming one of the biggest European travel trends.Adventure doesn’t always mean extreme, it simply means movement, discovery, and using your body to explore, not just your camera. Europe is no longer just museums and monuments. It’s adrenaline, nature, and exhilaration.

Trend #6: “Meaningful Luxury” Over Flashy Luxury

Luxury travel has changed dramatically. Luxury is now defined by feeling taken care of, not gold faucets or marble everything. Luxury in 2026 is about freedom, ease, personalization, and emotional connection.

Trend #7: Multi-Generational Travel Continues Growing

Families are traveling together more than ever, grandparents, parents, and children sharing experiences across generations. Experiences like river cruises, villa stays, guided tours, and easy train travel make Europe an excellent playground for families wanting to make lifelong memories together.

Trend #8: Travelers Want Authenticity, Not Artificial Experiences

In 2026, curated Instagram moments are taking a back seat to genuine travel moments. People don’t just want to see Europe anymore. They want to feel it.

Europe may be familiar, but in 2026 it will feel more exciting, more intentional, and more rewarding than ever. Travel isn’t just about going somewhere anymore. It’s about experiencing life fully. It’s about presence. It’s about wonder. It’s about connection, both with the world and with yourself. Whether you’re dreaming of cobblestone streets, cliffside coastlines, alpine escapes, wine-soaked sunsets, or castle-filled landscapes…

Europe is waiting.

Matt planned our 10 day trip to Ireland including personal drivers each day. Ou daily activities started at 9am each day. We saw and experienced everything there was to do each day. Matt provided tour guides for the 2 of us. At ages 80 and 82 it was a dream trip for us. Matt made airline changes for us so we could visit friends in Switzerland before returning home to Whidbey Island WA. Matt is so easy to work with and accommodating. 5*

Best Company Trip I’ve Ever Been On
Reviewed By Ana C - Reno, NV | Traveled to Las Vegas | Nevada | USA
From the moment we landed in Vegas, everything felt effortless. Flights, transfers, and hotel check-in were smooth, and it was clear this trip was extremely well planned. The private dinner at Bourbon Steak was next-level — incredible food, amazing service, and such a special atmosphere for our team. Renting out Swingers Mini Golf for the after-party was such a fun and unexpected touch. Huge credit to Matt for creating an experience that felt both luxurious and genuinely fun. He gave plenty of communication about which flight I was placed on along with a detailed itinerary.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
